But I just want to say thanks to Bioware for including a gay, M/M relationship in this game.
It really means a lot to me, as a gay guy, to have this opportunity, and not be forced to romance a female.
So, yeah. Thanks a lot! And I hope you continue this trend in future Bioware games!

I'm a straight guy, and my first char will be a straight female, romancing a guy.
I don't consider myself borderline gay because of that, *I* am not part of the game, *I* am just the one who determines what the story's protagonist thinks and feels.

I'll probably do every romance available on subsequent playthroughs for the same reasons as J.O.G.
The funny thing is that all the flamewars tend to flame the homophobes, not the homosexuals. Guess we've got a pretty ambivalent and/or open minded community around here

When has an RPG forced you to romance anyone? I wouldn't want a romantic segue forced on me, gay or straight. Bleh.

i'll probably play a male darlish elf and romance a female first playthrough though, second playthrough will be female human noble romance either female or male
So yeah, as a straight male guy i am happy to see this in the game as it adds to the depth and possibilities.

Not that it matters, but I'm a straight male as well, but I would have to agree with the above posters, it does add depth, a sense of realism ( which is always appreciated ) and again, in agreement with Fulgrim, it does seem we have a rather open minded community, cheers for us! Huzzah!

Lol, i know even i stated it twice.. Don't want people to get the wrong idea, that's my reason

Thanks though for supporting the idea.
And as for saying "forced to romance", obviously I didn't mean forced to in that I had no choice, but in order to get the most content out of the game, that was a choice I had to make.

Why would that matter, the chance of ever meeting any of these people is small.
The chance of them knowing it's you is miniscule.
The chance of the topic ever coming up is near impossible.
I'm gay.
Or straight.
Or Bi.
Or Alien...
You will probably never know.
Also..
I can respect Bioware for putting that in. But the big question in my head now, as a straight male, is will there be a F/F option... I might consider rolling a female if that is in there... LOL
I was wondering about that too

As for the topic, I imagine they implimented it for free publicity from any controversy (however small) it may or may not cause. I could be wrong and they might be thinking "progressively". We'll never know.

Same here. I want the City Elf origin and a gal because it sounds like Kill Bill. Since she will hate humans after that Zevran is her only choice. Well, maybe Morrigan because she hates the race of men, and thus does not consider herself part of humankind. I hope that she says something to that effect to give me an excuse to have a mage.

Yeah it's good to see this happening, as a straight guy when i play through with a female character i'll probably romance the women still lol. I have nothing against same sex relationships though, male or female everyone is equal in my eyes unless they prove otherwise.

You got my hopes up but theres only Zevran who swings both ways unless theres more information not in the wiki.

And Kudos to bioware, I'm straight but its a nice to make others happy also.

Choice is king. As long as homosexual stuff doesn't just drop on you from out of nowhere, I'm fine with choices - as long as I have a choice to avoid it.
Oh no you don't! I heard they programmed into the game a homosexual dwarf who harasses folks who are hiding in the closet!!
