Anders questions everybody's romance. He's an lonely, sad little man.
He didn't question me about Isabella.
He probably thought you were beyond saving.

ORLY? Why did he do that? Did you resume a relationship with Fenris or something?ejoslin wrote...
Anders dumped my Hawke in my most recent game. He DOES have some standards! I have to admit, he was decent with the breakup, but very clear that my Hawke is morally reprehensible. I thought that was a great moment.
Edit: I do find it interesting that Anders confronts Hawke about their LI. I knew he did with Fenris, but I figured that was because he genuinely hates him.
No. You can't get back with Fenris once you're with Anders. MAJOR SPOILER AHEAD
Spoiler starts here.
I made a deal with the demon in the fade when Anders/Justice was in the party. That went down completely unexpectedly (Anders CAN drop from the group and try to kill you in the fade). Afterwards, he dumped my Hawke.
Edit: Gah, yeh, what Ryzaki said. I wasn't expecting it, and I had only picked a couple of flirt icons, but Anders does a whole breakup. It's actually kind of cool.

He doesn't question Isabela because he probably thinks she's less of a threat in terms of forming an emotional attachment with you. On the other hand, Merrill and Fenris automatically have targets on their backs. Pulling you aside to discourage you from pursuing either is his way to eliminate the competition. Partly the reason why I think this happens is because he's mentally unstable and clings tightly to you out of loneliness and desperation.

Anders questions Hawke about Fenris and Merrill because he wants them out of the estate so he can move in. Isabela never moves in so she's not a factor, and homeboy starts dropping hints about needing to get out of his terrorist cave in Act 2.
It totally makes sense. What a user.

Could just be a bug. Varric is supposed to have "A Friendly Concern" quest where he comments on Hawke's romance choice for all four, but bugs stop the option for everyone but Anders (and rarely Fenris). A lot of folks wrote it off because Anders is the apostate half-abomination, but it's been verified as a bug by one of the writers.

It's odd Anders can have such a bias against Merrill for being a blood mage when Hawke can also practice blood magic.
