There are flaws, here and there, but overall I think the game is very impressive. Some people are missing out I think--like people so hung up on diamonds that they can't appreciate emeralds.
I enjoyed the second play-through more than the first. That is a good sign, in my opinion, just like some movies I thought were only mediocre the first time, but I appreciated them more on repeat viewings. This game is better the second time (in my humble opinion).

My only concern is avoiding the Isabella friendship bug when I finally get her up to +50 friendship.
Won't be playing DA 2 again until the weekend or early next week though(working on multiple playthroughs of Arrival)
Maybe there will be a patch by then:).

Hahahahahahah >.< Sorry, too funny.
There are just way too many bugs, and game breaking bugs to fix across three platforms.. its gunna take a long time.

Seriously though, it wasen't bad. It was just rushed. I'm amazed by what they put into the game with the timeline they had.

Probably
But as the saying goes
Virtue is a patience, no wait, that's totally wrong
But seriously, there are apparently ways to avoid the Isabella bug, so I'll just have to make due

On the other hand, the focus of the game (narrative) is Bioware's highest performance yet.
It's smaller than Origins, but better; it feels more like a game and less like the parody of a game.

I like the changes, the more personal story - there's only so many times I can save the world before it gets boring - the new combat, the characters.
Even with the bugs and obviouly rushed elements, there's just something about it that keeps drawing me in.
I also love Origins just as much (altthough Ihave to be honest I'm one of those who dread certain parts - Orzamar and The Deep Roads more so than the Fade which I've developed a stange love/Hate relationship with). The Same way That I love Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 equally, even though I play ME2 more.
Once the bugs are patched and the DLC starts rolling in I can only see me enjoying it more, and can't wait for the third addition to the Dragon Age universe - I wanna know what my favourite Orlesian is up to!
The only reason I'm not playing much now is because I'm at my sisters' for a few weeks and have to wait till the kids are in bed/at school. Most annoying^^

Just glancing at the first page, it would seem like the answer is "nobody". Conversely, you can chalk the complaints up to:
1) Some people aren't happy unless they're nit-picking / ****ing.
2) People who enjoy the game are playing it (as I would be if I weren't stuck at work)
Seriously, though - what the heck? There are some things that bug me, but overall I've really enjoyed it (I'm on my second playthrough now). So raise your hand if you're having fun
Yea i really enjoyed the game not perfect but completed it 3 times now - there are a few areas i'd of liked more choices but others i ejoyed the story/characters.

I love DA2 and am sort of making it a point to voice that out on the General forums as well so that people wou would potentially buy the game wil not just see all the "hater" posts there. If you like this game enough to recommend it to others, I suggest you voice it out there too... it's my little way of saying thanks to Bioware
Totally agree. I also wrote a review on Amazon...
Dragon Age 2 seems to polarize people a lot. People are either
disappointed with it and so give it 1-star or they love it to death.
I'm in the second camp. The story is compelling, the characters have
excellent voice-acting, and I'm honestly just having a blast with it.
I'm on my second play-through right now, and have plans for a third - no
boredom in sight. To address some of the faults others have pointed
out:
* Recycled areas - this is the most irritating thing in the whole
game for me. I actually wouldn't mind if the mini-map didn't show
non-functional areas of a cave or whatever, but it does, so you're left
wondering if you've explored everything or not.
* Can't control companion armor - I actually like this aspect. It
lets me play the game instead of having to micromanage the equipment of 7
people in addition to Hawke (the main character).
* The "junk" category of inventory - ie. things you can't use so
must sell - Apparently the gripe is that they should just have armor
drop that's for your class since you can't use armor on any other
characters. Doesn't bother me, at all.
* Combat - I enjoy the combat. The "wave" formula gets a bit tedious, but overall I still like it.
* Side quests - you find some gizmo and automatically get a quest
that says Joe Bloe lost said gizmo, please take it back to him. You do,
and you get paid. I don't have a problem with this. Why must
everything have an in-depth dialogue / story to go with it? Sure, it
takes a bit of Suspension of Disbelief to go with the idea that you just
magically know ol' Joe lost his favorite beer mug, but honestly. It's a
SIDE QUEST. I'm not losing sleep over a side quest. (Quests are
categorized in DA2 - Main Plot, Secondary, Companion and Side quests -
side quests are at the bottom of the hierarchy).
* Kirkwall, the city - again, I like it. The architecture and history are great.
* Bugs - Personally, I only encountered one. There's a secondary
quest in Act 3 which is broken. Irritating, but not game-breaking.
A lot of people are RAGING because they say this game is not as good
as Origins. I think it's a matter of taste. For Origins I did one
full playthrough, and then did a partial playthrough with each of the
other origin stories. Once I got a character to Lothering, though, I'd
lose interest. I also played Awakenings (once). I purchased the Witch
Hunt DLC but just couldn't muster up the enthusiasm to play it. DA2, on
the other hand - as I said, I've completed one playthrough, I'm at Act
II with my second playthrough, and I have plans to do a third
playthrough and possibly a fourth. Based on that, I think DA2 is the
better game - I'm certainly enjoying it more.
Edited to add: I don't think this game is a perfect 100%, but I
also don't think it's as low as 80% (4 stars). I'd rate it a 9/10.
Sadly, Amazon doesn't let us use half-stars, so five stars it is.

Anywho... I'm 1/3 into my second playthrough. STILL loving it
