Well it's odd, because FemShep shows more emotion (especially in ME1).  I guess Bioware things women should show more emotion?  But it's not even that, Hale won me in ME1 when I had her tell off Joker and Kaidan for acting unprofessional at the very start, and she sounded more military to me than Meer. 

Odd direction from Bioware, since Meer clearly has more range than he's allowed to use, yet Hale is.

And yes, Jethann amuses even more now that I know he's Meer.

I always thought MaleShep's directing was a throwback to the more "stoic" acting you see in some classic fantasy and scifi movies/animation.  Often times the male hero shows little to no emotion, but its common for a heroine to  show it (Guys aren't suppose to show it except in a few cases, and girls are all "weepy" and "weak" you know).  Of course, it might just be Hale having a better performance.  This isn't a knock on Meer; Hale is one of the best in the business for a reason.

I clicked on the thread just expecting some Jethann fun and love, but my mind just exploded realizing it is the same actor.
I can never play a M!Shep again, I might imagine Jethann in his place lol. It would make some hilarious sci-fi novel, I swear.

Hahaha Mark Meer cracks me up! You can just about hear that it's him when his voice slips slightly when he says "good for her" in reference to Ninette leaving her husband.

I mean I'm just sold to make a Zapp Brannigan Shepard with Jethann's voice in my head. Thane could be Kiff.
