The one reason why I'm having a hard time picturing DA3 taking place in Orlais

I agree. I refuse to play this game if everybody has that horrible "French" accent. Listening to the Comtesse de Launcet makes me want to shoot myself
Like I said in another thread: Be grateful if they don't set the next game in Anderfels. Better a french accent than a german one.

Can you imagine all the NPCs having a French accent?

I agree. It sounds utterly ridiculous.

Which hairy frog will you romance?
Whats wrong with french? I like France. I like frogs. Generally, as animals. Not as a dish.

There's no way I'd be able to take it without going on a murderous rampage. Ugh, it reminds me of Marjolaine from DA:O. People tell me that you don't have to kill her, but as soon as she opened her mouth, I realized violence was the only answer.
fix'd.

Not really much different than everyone having a British accent.
I disagree. While one is a regional dialect of the actual language, the other is an off-tempo maligning of the language by a non-native speaker.

Now, if we were in, say, Thedas' expy of Russia...

Tevinter would be cool, as would Par Vollen. Perhaps a game that is mainly focused around the Fade or the Deep Roads. There's plenty of interesting places to go.
