Is that a sad troll attempt or are you really that ignorant? How does it even make sense temporraly if summoning had breakthrough atmospheric albums in 95 and 96 when Dimmu Borgir really havent even been black metal since 97 maybe 99 at best. Really if you even think they're "black metal" or anything either than a Cradle worship band (which is sad in itself), you shouldnt post anything about black metal. Marduk are the biggest failures from all of Sweden.

Sorry, I'm obviously not as polite as you, it was more of an impulsive post, didnt really think it thoruhg. Sorry Statulos. It just irritates me that people actually think like that, that Summoning is unoriginal or isnt "black metal", which is funny because they never claimed to be, they dont even want to play live shows because "sweaty humans playing music on stage will ruin the illusion they are trying to create".
I didn't mean to do a personal attack on anyone, I just think its bad to point out a (in my opinion FALSE) "flaw" in some band while pointing to MARDUK ffs as a "good example". If it wasn't for Daniel Rosten of Funeral Mist, Marduk would have died long ago, just look back at their first few albums; Dark Endless, Those of the Unlight and Opus Nocturn . They're decent albums sure but then compare that to what their peers in Norway, bands like Immortal, Emperor, Burzum, Mayhem, Darkthrone were writing in those days.... Come on. And then take that and call Summoning unoriginal, I dont think thats a very well thought out argument, if you can call it that.

Long live Immortal!!!!!!
It's like that here too but I just cant get used to it. Not many metalheads period and of course the general public thinks hardcore, grind, metal and all the stuff in between sounds the same.Immortal played here on March 27th but it was 60 dollars and I had an exam
