Beck covering a Daniel Johnston song: True Love Will Find You In The End
Daniel Johnston is a strange one. I think he's got bipolar disorder, and he's very child-like in his sound and often his lyrics, and he's a pretty bad singer too - but he's got undeniable musical tallent, in coming up with memorable melodies. He started out by recording his songs on tape, but he didn't know that you could copy tapes, so he sang the songs again and again to make the tapes - each one is unique.
His songs did have impact though, and he caught the attention of a whole bunch of famous musicians, Beck being one of them, who got together to make a Daniel Johnston cover album, the profits of which were used to get Daniel a house of his own, so he could get out of his parents house.
Here's the original for the sake of comparison.

The name of the band can't be a coincidence - PJ Harvey had an album called "Uh Huh Her".
Curiously, she also has a song called "Uh Huh Her", but it doesn't appear on the album.
Got me listening to my favorite song from "Uh Huh Her" (the album): Shame
