Lacuna Coil - Tight Rope
Curious, I´m right now listening to another italian band that does not require too much attention:
Hour of Penance - Liturgy of Deceivers.

Take a movie adaptation of a mythological tale, Javanese dance with Hindu-Buddhist roots, and traditional music, mix it up with a modern ballad-lyrical structure and this is what you get. Highly entertaining and Tiara's moves are impressive, if I may say so myself. Lyrics translation is somewhere down the Youtube page.

Meet Cory Lee, a Canadian urban/R&B artiste of Chinese-German descent. It seems to me that Lee doesn't get much airplay but that's because there isn't much to differentiate her from the rest out there, though some of her songs aren't half bad (like this one and two others titled The Naughty Song and Ovaload. Predictable stuff to be sure, but quite listenable). Anyhow, this song in particular - depending on what mood I'm in - sometimes makes me either crack up or shake my head at the message, given that Lee herself trills glibly, "No shoes, no shirt, no service / No game, no gold, no me / No cash, no car, no c****e / 'Cause no one comes for free". Not exactly the most wholesome of propositions, heh. Lee (or the persona she plays in the video) does redeem herself in the end by saying that "It's just a song", but it's really up to the audience whether they believe that or not. Anyway... still a fun tune if rather frivolous.

Depressing subject/topic if you watch the video, but oddly enough I find that this song gets me going in the mornings. I think it has to be the energetic beat and rapping. Anyway, Epik High = awesome regardless.

@Lea: I really liked that Midlake song. I hadn't ever heard of them before. I'm going to go look up more of their music. Have fun at their show
And just because I like them so much I'm gonna shamelessly promote them with another song I'm actually listening to right now, "Roscoe"
(I just loooove the video to that one, it has such a simple and wonderfully anachronistic romanticism to it, doesn't it?)

I played that video last night but then I switched to a different window and only listened. I'll have to go back and actually watch it when I get home. But the song was good.

Oh, I like that one, the original's the best... although the Dusty Springfield version i.e. has some appeal as well.Steel Moon wrote...

I for one don't judge you, Godak, quite the contrary, I feel inspired to put on some QOTS as well, You Got A Killer Scene There, Man I think.
That song is just thoroughly... sexy, for lack of a better term.
