Oh, I like that one, the original's the best... although the Dusty Springfield version i.e. has some appeal as well.

I for one don't judge you, Godak, quite the contrary, I feel inspired to put on some QOTS as well, You Got A Killer Scene There, Man I think.
That song is just thoroughly... sexy, for lack of a better term.

It's a shame that Josh Homme has...erm..."Let himself go" for lack of a better phrase. He's really started to put on weight, and it all goes to his gut or face. You might think I'm petty for focusing on aesthetics, but I really think it's affecting his ability to sing. All recent live performances I've seen on T.V./Youtube, he's been a real let-down.

Anyways, I always thought it was strange that QOTSA never really found mainstream success...

Didn't they?

I think they have found rather broad/mainstream success, by my standards at least...

Well, at least his gorgeous wife isn't letting herself go... or so I hope.

I still weep for the end of The Distillers, though. Let's have a moment of silence please... or even better, The Hunger.

I'm not sure if they ever found the success that they were looking for. What that was, exactly, I do not know.

The bass riff is godly.

Also, I'm really liking some of Midlake's stuff.

No problem, Darren's band needs more attention if you ask me.

You're not the first one to say that he (Darren Wharton) has an amazing voice and I totally agree.

Few probably recognized his talent when he started playing keyboards in Thin Lizzy.

Opening song on the same album

Cover on Thin Lizzy's Emerald

They mainly do calm AOR but metal fans seems to like them anyway.

I couldn't decide which version to post because I love them all.  Take your pick:

20th Century Boy - T.Rex (original)
20th Century Boy - Placebo (Velvet Goldmine soundtrack)
20th Century Boy - Placebo f. David Bowie (the best of 3 worlds!)

If you like that stuff, try Jag Panzer; an old time American classic.

For my part, time to chill out and relax after a hard day:

King Crimson - I Talk to the Wind.

Party in the USA ~ Miley Cyrus

I probably can't sink any lower than this. Still, it's actually a good club song.

Thank you. :) I'm likely to disappoint you sooner or later, though. Maybe one day the mood to listen to a bad 80s hair metal band will strike me. I dunno. :pinched: Currently listening to...

Juanes - Un Día Normal
