it may have been said earlier, given the thread is over 400 pages long but how do you post the actual video and not just the address?

First, you need to reply using the full form, and not the "quick reply" on the bottom of the page (to get the tool-bar visible on the reply form) - you do this either by clicking on the "Post Reply" link on the top of the page, or the "... or use the standard form" link at the bottom of the page. 

1. Go to the You-tube video you want to include in your post, and click on the "embed" link below the video. Copy the contents of the text box with the code that appears. (Either Ctrl+c, or right click -> copy)

2. Make your reply to the thread using the standard form (as described earlier), and click on the "BBCode" link on the toolbar above the text box.

3. Paste the code you copied from YouTube (Either Ctrl+v, or right click -> paste)

4. Click "Submit" to post the reply.

There, you're all done!
