Nine Inch Nails - The big come down

Best track of NIN.

I kind of like Hurt but that's just me.

One of my personal favorites is No Excuses from Alice in Chains.

Screaming Trees - Shadow of the Season

Saw these guys in concert at lollapalooza on Reichers Island.  Picked up some **** in line and stuffed them in my shoe.  Walked into the concert and got wanded by the man at the gate.  Walked past and ate my ****.  Screaming trees put on a good show capped off by the Ramones.  Soundgarden was there as well as Metallica and some other bands.

A quirky song Pearl Jam - Present Tense

"Present Tense"

do you see the way that tree bends?
does it inspire?
leaning out to catch the sun's rays
a lesson to be applied
are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?
you can spend your time alone, redigesting past regrets, oh
or you can come to terms and realize
you're the only one who can't forgive yourself, oh
makes much more sense to live in the present tense
have you ideas on how this life ends?
checked your hands and studied the lines
have you the belief that the road ahead ascends off into the light?
seems that needlessly it's getting harder
to find an approach and a way to live
are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?
you can spend your time alone redigesting past regrets, oh
or you can come to terms and realize
you're the only one who cannot forgive yourself, oh
makes much more sense to live in the present tense

Songs are best listened to back to back.  Moral of the story:   Once you find love don't screw it up.

Here's a weird one.  My girlfriend liked this one.  The night I met her we sat under a white blanket with what seemed like a million tiny holes in a dark room lit by blacklights.  The texture of the blanket was weird as the music sank into our ears and brains.  We were sitting indian style and I remember her losing it when she noticed the texture of the blanket.

It was like a cocoon.

Greatful Dead -  Ripple - the greatest song of all time.

The Downward Spiral is hands down my fave NIN album. The most Indutrial sounding, actually.

And it featured Eraser, legendary NIN track, but I always liked ''things falling apart'' its so fresh and out of the box. And it features ''Metal'', ''10 miles high'', ''Wretched'' & some other good stuff.

The recent JE forum talk has put me in a nostalgic mood, so I'm listening to the Jade Empire Original Soundtrack. Currently on the second track, "Jade Empire Main Theme."

Fade Away - Breaking Benjamin

Perhaps I played this a little too much when I was playing Dragon Age: Origins for the first few times... Kind of relate those two things together now. Awesome song though, regardless.
