They and Slayer are probably the bands I have seen more often live. Motörhead is arround a dozen so far and they have never dissapointed me.

I don't care about music genres too, heck, I listen to rap, metal, industrial, electronic, classic....there is no genre I truly love or hate.

Alt. metal is metal + grunge, pretty much. If bands being commercial offends you, I suggest you stop listening to music.

Every art form is commercial; but there is a difference between creating music specificaly tailored to hit the MTV or to create something far more personal.

Besides; where´s the grunge influence in Slipknot? I mean, these guys have listened to stuff like Slayer, not Nirvana or Pearl Jam.

...And music is only allowed to do one or the other? I can't really comment on the TV aspect, as I do not watch MTV/VH1/Other tweeny channels. If you can write lyrics that are meaningful AND commerically viable (see: Beatles) I can't help but say: awesome.

I KNOW!  He's the best   30STM is the only GOOD celebrity band that I've ever come across.  But he sang in My So-Called Life too so it's not so surprising really.

Paul Barker from Ministry produced this album. It isn't amazing, but it is solid, and I'm wondering if these guys are ever planning on making another album. Cause I haven't heard anything from them in ages.

I'd actually agree with the Nu-Metal bit. They can go either way, really. I'll just ignore any more comments about bands being bad/rubbish/teh suckz0rz. If you honestly feel the need to insult someone else's musical preferences, you have far more issues than I care to hear about.
