People tend to understimate Momentary Lapse of Reason but I DO love this record; songs such as Learning to Fly, On the Turning Away or One Slip are among my faves. The version you posted is actually one of my fave; the one in The Delicate Sound of Thunder.

I will never understand why fans bash this record and not The Final Cut, which is probably the crappiest thing Punk Floyd did with (or whitout) Watters.

I think thats a great album, after that they changed into a pretty much all out black metal style and I think all releases up to and including Panzerfaust are essential. Newer stuff has a lot of crust punk influences and definitely isnt black metal, maybe blackened crust?

They have never hidden the fact that they love stuff such as Dirty Rotten Imbeciles or Manila Road and if you "blacken" that style, you have recent Darkthrone.

I am not saying that they aren´t a landmark in the history of Extreme Metal, just like Burzum is too; but I just don´t like most of their stuff. Well, in the case of Burzum, I think it´s the most overrated piece of **** ever created but... luckily it influenced further bands that are far, far better.

Absolutely, like most of the musicians from the early second wave from norway, like Satyr from Satyricon, Fenriz from Darkthrone, Varg from Burzum, they grew up on that kind of stuff, Satyr took a lot of inspiration from AC/DC though that doesnt really have much to do with the sound of Satyricon. Fenriz listened to a lot of thrash, and of course Adrenalin O.D.. I can't believe the Burzum hate though... He released a new album just last month too.
