While these games aren't in the same vein as ME2, they all have unbelievable customization of characters, not to mention casual clothing.
-APB
-Saints Row 2
-oblivion: tes
-The Godfather
-Fable 2 & 3
-City of Heroes
-Eve Online
-The Matrix Online
Some of these titles are dated, and yes some of them are strictly for pc, but with all of the variables there are to a process like this, why hasn't the ME2 team been able to catch up to some of it's competitors with the customization of our characters?
here are a few examples of how in depth character creation is on some of these titles

Even a Budget title like Saints row 2 gives you hundreds of options.

Comparing these to the creator in ME1 & ME2 does leave one feeling a little inadequate about their favorite game's ability to create an atmosphere of immersion, through customiziation of our avatars.
all this aside, it still doesn't account for the 4 options of casual clothing. For example, my main Shepard hates Cerberus with every fiber of her being, yet she's still forced to wear their uniforms littered with their logo's or dress like a survivor of 2175 Aeia.
For a team that developed 2 amazing games, you'd think they'd pay more attention to the details that matter to the rpg base.
