Too much mage vs templars already, player don't really need their own party to play the same material over & over...I don't need Meredith & Osino in my party...
DA:O companions were better on these part, Morrigan vs Alistair, they don't like each other much but it was always funny. Some others will get very disagreeable with each other but it never got too old.
Never got to the point I have to yell, 'Will you two please stop?'

All the male companions save one are douches. Remember how cool Zevran, Sten, and Oghren were? How they had a sense of humor about things and disagreed in an interesting or witty matter?
Not a single dude in Origins would treat Merrill like Anders and Fenris do during her last quest. Even if they disagreed with her or blamed her for events.
Sebastian isn't mean to Merrill. He's a bit preachy, but that's nothing compared to Anders and Fenris.

As a Mage on my go through with the game I was trying to stick with the mages. If a mage needed help, I was there for them no questions asked. I think I had Fenris maxed out as a Rival well before Act 2 even finished as a result. Everywhere we went he'd complain. Did Merril's stuff, complain. Anything with Anders, complain. Any quest anywhere with any kind of mage, and he'd complain. Every conversation we ever had ended up in a huge fight with him all raging.
What I found horribly sad was by the time I was done and most of the way through Act 3 I couldn't help but agree with Fenris completely.
In every side quest and every major quest in the game if a mage existed in game they turned to blood magic. Every. Single. One. Here I am trying to champion the cause for mages and they keep throwing it back in my face every time, without fail, turning to blood magic. I go in to help some mages escape, and they try to use blood magic on me. I save some mages, help them escape, and they turn around and want to kill my brosky later using blood magic. I side with the mages, fight back an army of templars, and hey I dunno for no reason what so ever lets turn into a Harvester. At every single betrayal Fenris' voice echoed in my head that mages will always find an excuse to resort to blood magic.
In the end, in my super mage sympathetic game, I ended up hating Anders more than Fenris which is kinda an odd thing for what I set out for.

I experienced the same thing, though my Hawke made decision more on a case-by-case basis rather than all-out on one side or the other. Fenris kept saying things Hawke wanted to argue but couldn't.

That's exactly why in my second playthrough I sided with the templars all the way. The fact that I was also playing a mage was just icing on the cake. Boy, did that **** Anders offKodiakAsh wrote...
