That thing? Holy symbol... of some kind... I assume. Though I can't decide if it resembles a dagger or a cross most.

Perhaps it's meant to be an even mix of both? I seem to remember the templars having a similar symbol on their armor, but I could be mistaken.

Is that the 'official' symbol or something Blur whipped together? Will there be a picture of the symbol itself somewhere in the game?

I remember that screen that looked a whole lot like Leliana had one boob. It made sense with her being an archer, and I thought that I would be romancing a uniboob.

I have always thought it to be a holy symbol. It does appear to include both sword and flame imagery within the symbol. Beyond that, well...


- It could be a unique interpretation of the Chantry's holy symbol with some artistic liberties taken by those who created the trailer.

- It could be one of many holy symbols within the Chantry, with this one identifying a specific branch or sect that Leliana herself belongs to/believes in.

- It could be a symbol unique to Leliana, her past, or even Bards.

It's the symbol for the Orlesian Outfitters, their recent break into the fashion world caused a storm of controversy, when it became evident there logo was heavily influenced by the Chantry's holy symbol. A lot of people decried this as blasphemous though there is as of yet no official word from the Chantry.

Actually, it's probably a Chantry symbol that depicts either the cross that Andraste was burned on (like Maria mentioned), or the sword of mercy that was used to end Andraste's suffering in her last moments. Or an amalgamation of the two.

How does the concept art thing work? You just discribe what you think she looks like and the artist comes back with a drawing that you say yes or no to?

Because I can imagine you telling someone that Leliana needs a 'thingee' on her chest a 'flamey, cross like, daggerish, spikey, swirly' thingee and the poor guy/girl wandering off to make sense of it.
