If you attempt to hire an escort at the Blooming Rose, Anders says "I hope you aren't that desperate. I treat a lot of these customers in my clinic." And then you get a +5 rivalry boost from him. His expression throughout is one of shocked horror. And then, when you're zipping up, he's the first in the room. He raises his hand to shield his eyes, as if he walked in and saw something he wished he didn't see, and he just looks so hurt. Say what you will about Anders' new face, it shows sympathetic emotions more clearly than the old one.
And now, having seen that, I wonder what the other LIs do. Does Isabela ask for a 2-for-1? Is Merrill confused? Does Fenris react with broody jealousy?
What do the various LIs do if you hire an escort?

Considering Isabela eagerly invites Hawke to a threesome with Zevran, I'd say she only gets hurt if she isn't in the middle.

Isabela would probably join knowing her XD

Do you get this from sleeping with that elf you meet in the quest to find that missing woman, or when you hire any random whore?

I know Bethany opposes sleeping with the elf the above poster mentioned. She says something like "This isn't what we came to Kirkwall for!" I don't about the rest of the prostitutes.

With the elf, I know Aveline,Carver and Beth both say something if you do, they are not pleased.

During the Ninette quest, I had Bethany in the party when talking to the elf. He asked if I was interested in "special services". I selected yes.
Bethany: "UGH do you have to do this right now?"
Hawke: "Fine. Nevermind, I'll come back later."
Bethany: "It's too late. The images are burned in my mind and they will never EVER go away!"
I'm going to have to do a playthrough with Carver and see what he says.

If I remember correctly he says something like I can't believe you're doing this and then stomps off.

Anders: [paraphrasing]: "Must you do this? I treat a lot of these people in my clinic..." and then +5 Rivalry.
But you don't have to be in a relationship with him for that happen.

Fenris says: Disgusting! (and makes a really disgusted face)

No one appreciates that you have loins to massage. With another person's flesh. In a brothel. Under the influence of alcohol. And lyrium.

I know Merrill says "Wait... What are you paying for?" and gives +5 rivalry. I don't know if she does anything when you're zipping up, though, because I said "D'oh!" and reloaded.
I know if you take up the elf on his offer, Isabela says "I learn more about you every day..." in a rather pleasantly surprised voice...

Actually, for whatever reason, Anders didn't care if I hired an escort. I was at full Friendship/Romance with him, and all he did was enter the room and clear his throat when I was.... zipping up.

Well he wouldn't gain/lose Friendship/Rivalry any more after you max either one out. For what it's worth, I got the reaction out of him (the comment + 5 rivalry points) in Act I.

I don't remember the Fenris LI saying anything, but I had a group of people watching and we were laughing at everything. I remember two things:
Someone saying, "How is she zipping up plate mail?!"
Whenever the party walked into the room after that, Fenris held his hand up to his mouth as if throwing up a little.

Wouldn't it be latching up, as the case may be for Rogues and Warriors? And what about Mages? They just lift, don't they? I never actually participated in these lovely adventures. Was there actually a zipping sound effect?

There is a clear zipping sound effect.

Yeah, and Hawke is turned away, so the zipper sound is how you know what she's doing. It's comedy -- but it's not nearly as funny as someone's incredulous voice questioning it.

More importantly... is the rivalry bonus repeatable? XD

Eventually they'll just accept you and your dirty diseases for who you are.

Strange. My Lady Hawke didn't get any reaction.
