Wth is the Collector General doing there? I blew him to the high heavens. I saw him burn. As for everything else in the trailer... YES!

dlc takes place after horizon story wise

Not exactly. It takes place, whenever you feel like playing it. You can choose to play it either after or before the suicide mission, thus some events and certain moments in the DLC will be different dependent on when you choose to play it. :)

Do you guys know whether the Arrival DLC can be played before the final mission?

It can be played anytime after Horizon.

Good to know. Thanks!

So, if DLC can start after the horizon, the mean Reapers still not "woken up".
If the DLC can start after the suicide mission, the General Collectors is dead.

There's something wrong, I do not quite understand the idea of DLC.

Read Overview masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Mass_Relay
Quote: "One of the relays even survived a supernova's wake without being damaged."

If we know that the Reapers will come through this relay, then
better not to destroy the relay, and change its location.
if motors can move a huge asteroid, then it's can move the relay.
Imagine Reapers, passing through the relay, will be right in the center of a neutron star or a supermassive black hole. Can simply collect a bunch of asteroids around the relay and when Reapers will arrive, they will encounter. Finally, we won!

But the authors come up with something strange, at first they say that the relay can survive a supernova's wake, but it now appears possible to destroy the relay by asteroid strike - I do not believe in it.
I think it's a bad idea.

Why? To show the super blast?!
Authors could not come up with something more interesting, more intelligent?

You can certainly argue that we have a little time, but what we did the whole Mass Effect 2?
We have helped Miranda and team, Reapers and Collectors were on background.

I want to see a clear plot, where everything is thought out and justified.

Well the Mu Relay may have been on the fringes of the solar system. The Charon relay, if our sun went supernova, would be far enough away that it would be getting a shockwave, not the real brunt of the supernova, and given the general durability of Reaper tech(being able to survive the intense pressures within a gas giant) I wouldn't be too surprised to find out that it could survive shockwaves from a supernova. This also isn't a normal asteroid, it's closer to a small planet according to Kenson in the preview.

We need to find out what the cover up is if you started it at Horizon, because why would they be making a new reaper if there was no intent of using it. Plus they've got the Harbinger model all set up, so I don't know why they'd fall back to the general.

I hope ‘Arrival’ will involve Kaidan/Ashley. Also involve choosing loyalty between Alliance/Cerberus. That would be awesome. (Btw, how the FACK were Kaidan/Ashley able to not be abducted on Horizon? Some think they are brainwashed to help the Reapers? The whole reason the Collectors came to Horizon was to abduct Kaidan, provoking Commander John Shepard to fall into a trap or whatever.)

Aiye, there a few interesting facts there...perhaps they didn't have the time...I don't think the planned on CMDR. Shepard paying them a suprise visit!

Wow. Well, now we know why they didn't release the trailer a week ago.

Looks like every suspicion I've had about this DLC is pretty much confirmed.

My predictions from about a week, two weeks ago or so:

1. $7/560 MSP, small download - correct
2. Short, 45-55 minutes gameplay - correct according to those who've played it (to be fair, play time tends to be highly variable between individuals)
3. Delayed trailer full of hackneyed Harbinger dialogue making the DLC just look crap - well here you have it.

ME2's version of Witch Hunt incoming.

^ Well, I'll just wait for the reviews.

I guess it makes sense that we hear Harbinger in the DLC, it's still ME2 after all & not necessarily post SM DLC. He just made the Reapers look bad in ME2, that's why I don't really want to see or hear more of him. But who knows, maybe Harbinger will redeem himself in this DLC, so I'll just be patient and give him a second chance :)

This looks great.

One thing I was wondering (maybe someone already said this, but..). Does anyone other than me think Amanda whatsherface look a lot like a certain blue girl in Farscape?

I look forward to this one!

I'll wait until I find out whether it is best played pre-Suicide Mission or after (non-spoiler wise).

I already beat it, play it post-suicide Mission, no doubt about it.

Dionkey, Would it be much to ask for some spoiler-free impressions?
Duration, gameplay, worthy story content etc...?
Just trying to make myself an idea without jumping into the spoilers section.

Ok its not Shadow Broker but its no "Witch Hunt" either thank god, sets up ME3 nicely and has a few decent battles at least, only gripe is why you cant bring squad mates when the whole "sneaking" thing lasts for about 5 minutes, but hey.

Has some interesting stuff in it for a small DLC and should deffo be played after finishing the mission, makes a LOT more sense then.

What the last guy said. It wasn't as good as LotSB, but it sure wasn't Witch Hunt. It was really good, and the stealth aspect was a good touch. It was too short, though.

But, it was a great prelude to ME3, and makes some sense of the Reapers' Arrival.
