Whether they downloaded it or not they can't legitimately play it.  All that has happened is that people have the file sitting on their hard disc, it cannot be legitimately activated yet and won't be of any use till Bioware allows it.

That's not entirely true, people had footage up on /v/ along with links for cracks and the full version.

they could have some sorta area in the front of the asteroid that is packed full of explosives combined with it hitting the rotating rings in the middle of the relay you have an explosion

I take it you missed where I said "LEGITIMATELY" ie without cracks or another crap like that.  Those that are now playing the DLC are scum and had no intention of paying Bioware for their work.

dont know on how i wanna play this now because if this dlc alters the me2 story in some ways i wanna do it.... but i did fnish my 30 something playthrough a few days ago and saved after credits.... gahhhhh i dont know what to do

Those concered about when this DLC takes place in the ME2 time frame, have you considered that since it is supposedly a 5 part mission pack that you may only be able to access the last two or even the last part of it after the SM? Just a thought...

I belive this is about whole game in general, rather than just this specyfic DLC.After all you might bump into Kelly feedding you fish in oyur quarteres in between Arrival missions
