I would have thought Seeker, but you make a good point with the mage thing.  Probably they'll use various titles the way this game did throughout; serrah, mesuir, etc.

Considering how integral to the setting the role of Chevalier is, they might well go that route - though the word doesn't roll off the tongue so easily in conversation, so perhaps not.

By the way, I Love your avatar pic.

I haven't read this thread but I am wondering will we be royalty in DA3 probably? You know because of the whole Sandal thing?

I'm guessing we'll either be attached to the court, or start out as nobodies and raise to noblesse status, as which point we'll run into Sandal and dad.

The chantry would never allow a mage, after everything that has happened, to be a seeker. I don't think Bioware would purposely block us out of choosing that route.(Lots of people love playing mages) They did however block us out of choosing other races for DA2, so you never know.

They use mages in times of war. The chantry are not really in a position to be picky anyway.

Yeah didn't think about the last part that is possible (BTW I have no hard feelings with you regarding the other thread JMO). Hopefully they make a quality game with choices and actually have the import feature work this time Posted Image

I hadn't expected any hard feelings ... adults should be able to disagree without holding grudges. (though, admittedly this isn't always the case on the internet, but no worries ... though I suppose I should appreciate the effort to reassure me, at any rate, so thanks.)

As for the import feature ... honestly I'd rather not have it unless it makes a real impact on the game.  Sure they'll include it, because people want to imagine their previous game meant something in the long run, but I didn't feel that the imports affected DA2 enough to even bother with them; the predesigned backstories you can choose from were more than good enough.

Mind you, if Hawke or the Warden are used as the protagonist (which hardly seems likely) then it would be important, but otherwise ... meh.  This option worked in the ME series because each game is a direct sequel, utilizing the same hero, but without that element it really seems like pointless extra work for the dev team.

If you have to start a new in DA3 I want the chance to play a Dragon, or a Witch of the wilds. I mean the world is on the brink of Civil War, it would be cool to find out, and possibly play, a faction that had been secretly pushing the events in both games. In DA3 it is when they decide to make themselves known. Possibly let you choose if you stand with them, or against them.

Are there any distinguished male French VAs? Methinks if there's a new protagonist for DA3, it'd still be someone from Ferelden.

I doubt the DA3 will be wholly set in Orlais, because everyone would have French accents, and despite my own opinion, i doubt that would go well with the masses. Especially because it starkly contrasts' Fereldon's accent. (I was also disappointed that Kirkwall seemed to have the exact same accent as Fereldon).

I predict Bioware will hire Richard Garriot as the lead on the DA3 team, and he will bring back the Avatar from the Ultima series as the hero.  Posted Image

I predict Orlais will have the Ultimate Janitor.

He kicks ass and cleans up afterwards.

I hope for DA3's sake it's continent or country rather than just one city again, DA2 left me feeling like I had been tied up thrown in boot of a car and then dropped off in the middle of a parking lot two blocks from where started. Given the appearance and races differences in the DA universe I see no reason why Orlais wouldn't be different accent and more renaissance more Witcher style theme big, brash ball gown wearing rich area with a dirty and seedy underworld theives and pickpockets and beggers (done right) of the poor much better shown than in DA2. But one thing is for certain it better be more than one city in the next game, if I'm locked in one city again behind the disguise/excuse of 'framed narrative' I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down lol.

DA3: Sandals Fall from Power.

A gritty, dramatic story about a dwarf who's only love in life is enchantment, forced into marriage and made to do as his wife commands 24/7.

You will follow and take part in this framed narrative based story where everything you say can be said any way you wish to say it, influencing nothing but at least you get to shout and scream against the tyranny of his wife's dominance within the household.

You will do the washing up, the cleaning, making dinners (from scratch). You may even get to explore the garden outside the walls of the home. You will progress through a game that spans 18 years as a baby is born and the chores bring about a heavier burden, this will expand your story all the way to the teenage years at which point the conclusion will be the child leaving home and a marriage coming to braking point. You cannot change the story but you will be allowed to choose what you wear each day (unless your wife decides otherwise).

(On more realistic note I expect DA3 is far more likely to take part in Tavinter.)

Well with the Chantry seemingly ready to fall, Thedas is prime for the introduction of the Virtues by the Avatar B)

Hopefully something Kirkwall didn't have... a good story teller.

Not saying Varris wasn't amusing at times but the next game needs a better overall story.

What will Orlais have?

Hopefully less of that accent.

Edit: Unless it's Varric, naturally.
