A bastard

Er, this is perfect; why did no one pick up on this?

The Bastard of Orlais.

Like The Bastard of Orleans (bâtard d'Orléans) who, against all odds, defended Orleans against an English seige for 8 months despite the King himself giving up hope for the city. Joan of Arc eventually arrived to liberate it.

Edit: And he journeyed with her from there in the Bloodless March and the eventual taking of Reims... Sounds like an epic adventure to me.

I would have thought Seeker, but you make a good point with the mage thing.  Probably they'll use various titles the way this game did throughout; serrah, mesuir, etc.

Considering how integral to the setting the role of Chevalier is, they might well go that route - though the word doesn't roll off the tongue so easily in conversation, so perhaps not.

By the way, I Love your avatar pic.

Thank you!

While I think that there is a good chance it will be Orlais, I hope that we have a chance to travel back to Ferelden at least for a few missions. I would love to see how the land, cities, and people have changed that we met during our first adventure.

There can be no other title for a hero of Orlais, other than... La Grande Fromage or maybe un petit poisson?;) !!!

Does anyone think Morrigan will return in DA3? It seems to me that the devs won't just let her go,since she's mentioned again in DA2. And what about her child; wouldn't it seem reasonable that the child, who would be an adult by then, would play a major role?

You know, after posting about Isolde...

I think they should make you a relative of Isoldes' - and then Isolde and "Caw-nnar" visit and we go on a picnic - then, soldiers walk through the park we're picnicking in and trample our fine spread of cheeses, wine, and baguettes - but nothing is so nightmarish than the villain that takes Isolde's prize winning quiche.

So - outraged by the injustice of the Orlais soldiery... I become the "Quiche of Orlais" in honor of Isolde's mastery of French, errr, Orlesian cooking.

I gather together deep, and emotionally engaging companions:

Jean-Claud Ven'Dem - the noble Legionnaire who's an excellent unarmed combatant ...

Flure De'Lyse a tortured mage who believes being enslaved by the mage tower involves wearing nice clothes, being well fed, and being allowed to travel with The Quiche of Orlais...

Clopin the Bard: a fun loving, ultra-sexual, bard who wears outrageous costumes and tells stories about "The Abomination of Val Royaux"

and Jim Valjean - a revolutionary Templar who was recently allowed out of prison and is ready to help the Quiche of Orlais find the guard who dishonored Isolde - and bring down a government, preferably with a huge magical bomb.

@Curlain - actually, the dinner with Isolde (and don't forget Caw-nner) will be all of Act 2.

Oh - and Caw-nner is going to be a bi-sexual love interest (he's like - totally older now - duh).

I doubt the DA3 will be wholly set in Orlais, because everyone would have French accents, and despite my own opinion, i doubt that would go well with the masses. Especially because it starkly contrasts' Fereldon's accent. (I was also disappointed that Kirkwall seemed to have the exact same accent as Fereldon).

Not to mention that BioWare seems to recycle their VAs, using the same collection over and over again...

The lord/lady of Darkness. The child born from the darkness of the Old Gods thrust into events beyond his/her control.

And no, not Morrigan's baby. THERE IS ANOTHER.

You guys have it all wrong! The title for the hero in DA3 will be....

The CRIMSON PRIMROSE

A charismatic vigilante, the Crimson Primrose is actually a Ferelden noble, fighting a (not so) secret war against the sect of the aristocracy who seek to overthrow Empress Celene and wish to conquer all of Thedas.

Someone mentioned it here. About the CC being a tyrant. I think that'd be a cool idea. Like how in KOTOR2 we start off as a Sith and through our choices we could redeem ourselves or remain evil.
