Ok I just finished the game. That final battle with Meredith, what was going on? I mean it was cool the way they brought the relic into it and everything, but the whole time I was fighting with her I was thinking what the hell is going on? Wierd stone golems and whatnot coming from everywhere. Where the hell did these things come from? So the relic can summon odd golems and huge zombies and whatnot. Thats cool, but some explanation or something would be nice.
Plus, you have Meredith flying all over the place doing damn forty foot backflips and firing red blots of light and crap. Just seems so forced and it is definetely not fun.
I think a major weakness overall with this game were the boss battles, with the High Dragon chief among them. Killing that thing was so boring i will have to lower it from hard to normal just to get it over with quicker.
Anywho, did anyone else get a similar impression from the last battle as I did? Or am I just way off base?

Meredith just doing her superwoman stuff and waiting for you to kick her ass really quick.
I actually felt oddly satisfied seeing her losing control and her mind.

I didn't find the High Dragon killing easy, and I was doing it ON easy.
As for "Supergirl Meredith", I just figured that the Lyrium contact had done something to her, beyond warping her mind.

The relic doesn't summon the golems, just makes them come a life, because the combat system is so messed up, fights don't work without dozens of adds :|

Apparently the idol is some kind of superpowered artifact of doom... without explanation.
Just one tiny piece could move objects throughout an entire house and create an ethereal golem, so... yeah.

I found the battle waaaay too long, and it just got boring.

Imho, with a dragons nest out there and all, it's the kind of idol you feed to a dragon to create an archdemon.
