What file do I open to edit the game? Like if I wanted to place a monster in Denerim or something, where would I open the area of Denerim? I need Denerim to be in the Palette Window or something.

Have a look at the wiki.

This is a powerful professional toolset, so there's a learning curve.

You may find it easier to start by making a small standalone module, just to get the basics. That's what the tutorials assume.

Once you're ready to mod the OC, you'd make a new add-in which extends it, probably using PRCSCR. The Denerim areas are in the Single Player module area palette under the heading Landsmeet (Denerim).

I think I got the basics down already. But, what Single Player module area palette? Would I need PRCSCR to find it?

Under the Area palette, there are only 3 folders:

_Global
-----char_stage
Demo
-----demo100ar_wilderness
----------demo100ar_wilderness
------demo200ar_tavern
----------demo200ar_tavern (Blue Moon Inn)
------demo300ar_road
-----------demo300ar_road (On the Road)
Writer's comp
------wrt200ar_tavern (Tavern)

- = space

I've also added a few areas to get the basics down, but now I don't know how to delete them.

File > Manage Modules > Single Player.

I'd always advise making a new module - never edit an existing one.

Your module can be an extension to an existing one, if you like.

Sounds like you've added stuff to the Demo, which does no real harm. If you like, you can check in your objects, then delete them. You can even restore the data base to its original state (or reinstall the toolset), but personally I wouldn't worry about it.

What you don't want to do is modify Single Player directly, because that can corrupt your game (albeit in ways that can be backed out).

I see. Thanks for the advice.
