So, it's been a while now since DA2 came out, and I was wondering if anyone has thought of this? With all the effects like rock armor just fading away when you get a cutscene.

If so, have you had any success? Or thought on how it would work? I imagine visible helmets during converstations would be kind of the same thing too, and that would be great aswell.

Please, do share. :)

I'm honestly not sure what you're asking for here; are you wanting to be able to see them during conversations? If so, I'm not sure how to change it, since we don't yet have the DA2 script source.

Yes, that'd what I meant.

Can't say I know what the DA2 script source is, or when it's supposed to become available. But I'll take your word for it that's it's impossible right now.

it quite easy acctually get the gdapp and edit the coresponding lines in vfx_base.gda. the last collum should be set to 1 in order to show the effect all the time

I edited the last line of rock armor and it's variables to 1. The effect shows up outside combat, but not in converstations.

Did you get it to work through converstations? I am greatly interested in finding out.

Thanks anyway. Maybe I'll be able to find a way with this program.

Nope, it's propably impossible. And I think I'm the only one who's even trying to get this work, and I have no skills with such things whatsoever.

*Sigh* In theory it sounds so easy. I mean it's all there, the effect. Surely there must be some sort of a switch to stop it from fading in cutscenes...

Actually, I prefer not having the persistent effects show outside of combat. I'd even tone down, say, Arcane Shield during combat.

Good for you, there are mods for that, you know. That remove the spell effect visuals completely.

That came out a bit rude from me, but this modding business is driving me insane.
