They don't have to pay full-price for it. You can get a new copy of ME2 along with all of the story-DLC for less than PS3 users.Johndoev2 wrote...

I hate the Bioware point system. Until I can get the DLC for a fair price on Steam, no buy from me. Sorry for your loss...
I know. I hate point systems. They should just let us use real world currency.

If they put the DLC on sale, they can't exploit you with a "point" system.
Well, that's demonstrably untrue: Bioware points are basically the same as MS points, and the DLCs are priced the same in the two systems. Guess what? LIVE has DLC sales. How? They make it cost fewer points.

Also please support the thread at the EA forums listed in my original post.

Or likely what will happen is I'll finally cave, buy the points to get the DLC and the next week they'll go on sale. I'll send a mail to bioware saying "C'mon man!" and they'll go "LOL SUX 2BU n00b." Always the way.

and still waiting for a Bioware response...
I'm wondering why Bioware and EA ignore their fans instead of giving a straight answer. A simple '' We are not currently planning a sale, but thanks for the suggestion'' would suffice me.

Funny how everyone else in the world can just sell things for money. They don't refuse all currency except Chuck E Cheese tokens.

I haven't bought the last two DLCs just because I hate the "points" system so much. It's stupid, it's annoying, it's an unnecessary extra step, and there are always "leftovers," i.e. it's a ripoff.

Yeah, it would be nice to hear the reason behind this. Other than "LOLZ we are ripping you off!"

Yeah it baffles me too. I get the impression that we're not even important enough to reply to, whether that reply be positive or negative
I feel like we are little slaves who don' t get the respect and attention we, as fans, deserve. The moment we reccomend something to improve the sequel they listen( Why?. More money in their pocket) The moment we ask for a liitle sale that would make them lose money, they shut the door.
Bioware is still my favorite developper and I can' t wait for ME3, but... I'm starting to get angry at them since we haven't had a response in over a month. Besides, every other console has gotten a sale, so why not us PC fans, who have been playing Bioware's games for many years.
Come on Bioware, answer!

I spent $24 on the DLCs, which is about the price of an expansion pack, and I think that will be all I will purchase for this game. I will hold off on buying M3 for at least 1/2 a year or longer until we see the price drop like ME2 is now. I paid the full retail price at launch for ME2 and was bummed about some of the changes and the lameish story.
I read all 7 pages of this post, and I guess I could see how you could have extra points if you bought a large bulk of them It worked out well for me though as I avoided the little things like appearance and weapon packs as they really don't intrest me, just the story plz, k, thx!
When I bought my first DLC (Kasumi) there were only options to buy BW points in 400 increments I think, and the price was 560, so I had to buy 800. I just saved my extra, and that worked well because when LotSB came out they had included a 560 payment option, so my remaining points and 560 got me to a 0 balance again. Then I bought arrivial for 560 so that was $24. I consider it an okay for me, having paid full retail price for the game, so this was my 'expansion pack'
Just cuz I'm bored I'll go on to type a short review of the DLCs and their valute compared to their price.
Lair of the Shadow Broker: 9/10 - Very fun adventure, with different experiences before ore after the suicide mission. A shame the original game didn't receive this amount of polish. Worth the price IMO.
Arrivial: 7/10 - Only one playthrough so far, but some nice gotcha moments and fun times with a security mech are in store in this adventure. Could see this being worth it, depending on how much you're looking forward to ME3.
Kasumi: 7/10 - Fun little non-combat section at the start, then the break out guns a blazing til the end of the heist. I scored this 6/10, but added 1 point since it adds a permanent squad mate you can use throughout the rest of the game.
Overlord ?/10 (gut feeling 3/10): Having not bought it I can't review it, only by what I have watched on YouTube of it. I think is the worst of the 4. It was the first DLC and features the hammerhead and shooting with a 'fun house' experience near the end. There are basically no choices to make and very little interactive dialoge. Very short and has little to do with the rest of the game.
So If you miss game companys producing expansion packs then just by the top 2-3 I've rated there and you're only spending $17-24, which is in the range of an expansion pack, you know, those things they made "back in the day"
