It's been said that Steam sales have turned more gamers into legitimate consumers than any form of DRM ever has - obviously it's nearly impossible to factually verify that statement, but, circumstantially, I don't find it difficult to believe. Sure making $5 on something isn't as good as making $10 - but it's still better than making $0.
I was hoping they'd release a GOTY version of ME2 with all the DLC included, for say $40 (typical PC GOTY price) and I'd gladly re-buy the game to have the DLCs. At this point though, the closer we get to ME3's release, it seems less likely that they'd re-release ME2

I've seen a lot of other companies doing this, but not Bioware/EA,
And the biggest insult was for the PS3 players to get an "ultimate edition" that's not even available for the other platforms

Realistically I would be happy IF they will give the discount closer to ME3 release. All we can do is wait. I would love to buy the DLC now but I will hate myself if it is on sales next time.
My thoughts exactly. I'm in no rush to replay ME2, but I hate bying DLC and then having a sale the next day.

The ease with which the DLC is pirated (or so I hear, I personally haven't tried) makes it all the more ridiculous that they haven't done something to address this.

I'm starting to think this is the reason why they aren't offering a sale for PC users. Still, I think PC users have waited long enough for one

I'm hoping them make a bundle of DLC missions (Kasumi - Stolen Memory, Shadow Broker, Arrival, & Overlord).
I'm hoping for exactly the same thing, it would be nice especially for us who haven't bought any of them yet. I'm sure there must be more who are in the same position and haven't bought them yet, so it's probably an excellent opportunity to do it now.

Same here. There are still plenty of us who haven' t experienced the DLC, and bundling it up would be a good idea.

Yep, not having any of them, I too would jump on a sale for a missions bundle, but the lack of any diolog in this thread and seemingly being ignored, I ain't holding my breath, it's been quite a while since this thread was made after all.
To put things into perspective regarding value, I recently bought a couple games in the Steam sale, one of them coming with DLC and a full expansion pack for a game I had on Steam already, but had yet to play and it came to just under $14 all up ( Amnesia, Farcry 2 with DLC and an expansion pack for King's Bounty game )
To buy just the mission DLC for ME2, it will cost around 3x the price I paid for all the above, when you are limited on what you can spend, the lesser value DLC loses out, even though I would likely like ME2 more than the other games in question.
It's sad to see ME2 at such a great price in the Steam sales, probably too much of a bargain if being honest as it's worth more, yet it will cost you around 7x the amount you paid for the actual game itself, to get all the mission DLC.....
You can see where the money is being made, good plan tbh, get people to buy the game by selling cheaply, knowing a good % of them will buy the DLC and if truth be told, at such a cheap price for the game ( $6 odd ), I would buy a few myself, but we paid full price for the game, not $6 odd.
A 50% sale for mission DLC and I'll bite.
From reading the Steam ME series forum page, it seems XBox will likely get 50% off at some stage, ME2 won the vote for the most wanted DLC sale after been given the opportunity to vote for the most wanted DLC sale, just beating Bad Company 2 apparently.
The obvious question was asked in that steam thread, will PC get a sale too ?, clear others waiting for one

I see some DLCs (the most important) are not compatible with Polish versions of the game and the question is:
Are they not compatible because of the language (If I change language to English will it work?) or is there another bigger issue that I am unaware of?
I would really hate to loose Lotsb and arrival, I went thru ME1 and ME2 7 times now and Iwant the eight time to be complete with the "Lait...", "Kasumi" and "Arrival' to max out what will I get from ME3. Any help is much appreciated

PS3 players don't get to import a character from ME1. While that's mitigated by the comic, there ARE some minor things that matter.
Heck I bought the PC version because of this.

Whoever decides DLC sales for Xbox(I assume it's Microsoft and if that's true the following will be granted), sure cares about it a lot. It just got its third(I think) DLC sale. PC is still at zero.
Yeah as I said in my last post, I read in the Steam forums that Xbox users were given the chance to vote on the most wanted DLC sale and ME2 apparently won.
It seems going by what you said, they have now got yet another DLC sale for it, yet it was nothing binding or anything, they didn't have to put it on sale again, it was just a vote for what Xbox users most wanted.
It seems some people listens to it's fans at least and it's not those that decide PC DLC sales....
Equal treatment amongst all versions ? , pfft YEAH RIGHT, that has well and truly been proven not to be the case now....
In an ideal world, all the DLC for the ME games would be availble to buy on Steam, like with other games on Steam and we can wait and buy it whenever they are on sale, it would be much more convenient/easier to boot ...
