That seems a little short for my liking. 48 hours in arrival is all that remains until the Reapers descend from dark space into the nearest mass relay. That means, come Mass Effect 3 we will have 48 in game hours to do whatever we are going to do to stop them. Personally I don't see how they are going to pull it off. To start the game with such little time and have to acomplish so much in the game and pull off the greatest thing shep has ever done? I would have preferred it if they started off with a month of so. Two days feels like the game will be rushed and not very long at all. I mean what are we going to do, find 10 or so people and get the fight going in 48 hours? Right..

I believe it says the Reapers could be at Earth in 48 hours if they don't stop them from using the relay...not sure though.

Oh boy.

I'll try to explain it.

*spoilers? maybe?*

The DLC is about stopping them from getting into the system with the Relay.
The countdown is to when they arrive in the system.

Destroy relay=stuck in system for the time being.

Therefore giving shepard about a year or more.
