Is there a romance option? just started playing. curious.

Eh, your question is about BG1 according to the title of the topic, but it's posted in the BG2 sub-forum. What game is your question about?

ussnorway answered it for BG2.

If your question is about BG1, you can romance npc's only if you've installed the NPC1Project www.gibberlings3.net/bg1npc/index.php, but you would have to make use of Tutu (running BG1 in the BG2 engine) to play it.

You'll have to play Tutu (or Baldur's Gate Trilogy) and install NPC1Project to enjoy romances in BG1. I posted the link to NPC1 Project in the post above. Tutu can be found on Pocket Plane Group. For more question (an the eternal debate on Tutu or BGT) I'd say make a new topic in the BG1 subforum.

edit: as a direct answer to your question: romanceable will be Ajantis, Branwen, Coran,
Dynaheir, Shar-Teel and Xan (all romances are male-female only though).

With that mod im sure there is a romance for quite a lot really - tho idk of any same gender ones tho... i know there is a dynaheir one.

Disappointed I loved Kivan (not sure if I spelt it right) the first time I played this game in '99 and was hoping someone had made a mod to make him a possible romance

Don't hate. I like the Anomen romance, it was a hell of an experience full of awesome one liners and creepiness. <3

I don't wan to romance him -my wife would be ticked but I'm glad Kivan is available as an NPC in BGII. He was my favorite NPC in BGI and I just recently (tried) to modify him to Archer using Level1NPCs (that's still a work in progress). It will be super cool to be able to bring him over to BGII. I'm thinking he and Valygar (who I changed to Wizard Slayer) will be a heck of addition to a butt kicking party.
