But maybe someone else had luck with their King Cousland transfer. If so, please share! <3

Sister Nightingale said my King Cousland is a "Good King" during the Faith quest. I believe Isabela or the Bartender Corff mentions the "King of Ferelden" is alright for a Warden.
You, good sir, are a much more dedicated dialogue-hunter than I. And for this, I thank you. <3
Now, onward! I must seek out Bartender Corff immediately!

I didn't make my Cousland the king, but there was little character-specific discussion of him, either, aside from Teagan's mentioning that he was "back in Denerim again," which I found a bit odd. I wonder if he brought Morrigan and his son along? Surely not.
*snerk* Yeah, I had that same thought during my Amell transfer. Alistair was king, so I got his cameo, but I thought it was odd that my Warden was back from BEYOND THE FADE with his beloved Morrigan so soon, and with so little fanfare.
But Anora didn't get a cameo in my King Cousland transfer. Did I miss it? Oh well, her interactions with her new husband in Awakening were cute enough. Besides, I'll just take the lack of cameo to mean that she and my Warden are so blissfully married that not even political strife can tear her from the capital.

I was interested in seeing how Alistair and Anora's relationship developed. That had potential for humor.
Alistair didn't mention Anora at all in his cameo. Which is strange because, you're right.... It could have been hilarious...

I was hoping for something, too, especially since I also left Loghain alive to become his charming new father-in-law. Alas, Anora is mysteriously absent.Jorrkit wrote...

I freaking loved Loghain as my King Cousland's father-in-law! It was.... just.... OMGSOAWESOME.
Okay, yeah, the more I think about it, the more I realize what a gift Awakening was for my King Cousland. Like, seriously, not one cameo, but two? Both his wife and his father-in-law? COMPLETE WITH CHARACTER-SPECIFIC DIALOGUE? It was all so good!
So, no, I can't really complain that King Cousland didn't get much love in DA2, nor complain that Anora didn't get to make a cameo. But the interactions for my King Cousland were so enjoyable that I couldn't help but hope for more in DA2.

The odder point is that they recast Isabela cause the actress that did the voice for Isabela also was the voice of Anora and yet there is no Anora at all in DA 2.

That's simply because they don't want major characters sharing a voice actor in the series, not just specifically per game.
I guess that's one of the reasons Anders changed voice actors too, because Cullen has a LOT more to talk about in Dragon Age 2, and Greg Ellis voiced Cullen before Anders ever hit a concept board.

Yes but Anora isn't even a part of Dragon Age 2 at the moment and it is possible she is locked up in a tower for eternity if Alistair is made king. I understand if it's a major companion, but Anora is only more used than Cullen in Origins. She has nothing in DA2. Isabela is in all 3 acts. Why not just recast Anora if you decide to use her. Maybe it was more conflicting schedules and or money lol.

During a playthrough in DAO with my female mage, I convinced both Alistair and Anora to marry. Anora asked if I was going to be staying around once they were married because she wasn't too excited about another marriage where she wasn't exclusive. I told her I wasn't going anywhere. Being Queen was more important to her, so she accepted that I would be Alistair's mistress. I'm sure it was a loveless marriage where Alistair was always in another bed except hers, just like with Cailan.

Perhaps because Anora was a bigger character than Isabela was in Origins and she just might make a comeback in a DLC, expansion or the next game. Her voice is very distinctive, and, arguably, she just wouldn't be the same character with new a VA.Torax wrote...

Also, on topic, male Cousland wasn't really a king - just a prince/king consort (;

The only Anora cameo outside of Origins is in Awakening. Will point out that to Anora he's the Prince-Consort but some Fereldons in Kirkwall will call the Cousland King.
Aww, see, that's why I really wanted more Anora/Cousland love in DA2. I wonder if, by the time DA2 takes place, the whole "Prince-Consort" thing would still be a sore spot for Anora, or if she would have learned to let it go? She certainly hadn't let it go in Awakening (calling her husband a "prince of Ferelden") but hey, they'd only been married for six months. Maybe after six years, Anora would let people refer to Cousland as her "king."
........maybe.

Not only would he be the King. He's the Hero of Fereldon. Also unlike Alistair, a player who so happily just takes the thrown is probably not willing to back down to Anora's power plays. All of Anora's possible results are about what better cemented her assured leadership. All she wanted if she had to marry was someone who was happy to be a puppet. The Hero of Fereldon wouldn't be a puppet. They'd be an icon compared to the Widow of Cailan to the public's eyes.

Funny side note. Cause I ran it again a few hours ago. Anora actually presents the Hero of Fereldon as "your Future King". I think she calls you the prince consort in Awakening if I recall.

Well, maybe during the Coronation, Anora is happy enough about the dead dragon on the roof to actually call you "King." But then she comes down off that high cloud and goes right back to sternly reminding you that you're her Prince-Consort.
