So any one feel jipped when stuff from the first trailer didn't appear in game?

Like the Templar/Flemeth War with the Witches.

That looks like some sort of mage and templar conflict. I don't see Flemeth.

To be totally honest I actually forget all about that trailer when playing Dragon Age 2 haha.

This was just one of the clips. One has Flemeth standing on a mountain overlooking the battle. I'll see if I can find it.

I think they kept that for DLC content.

Flemeth? Check.

Mages? Check.

Templars? Check.

Mages versus Templars? Check.

Just because things from the first trailer aren't in the game EXACTLY the way they were shown in the trailer doesn't mean that Bioware is holding out on us in some way.

That's like complaining that DA:O didn't have you play as Temuera Morrison's uglier glowy eyed brother from the trailer.
Oh wait, people did complain about that. Nevermind.

TBH I never would have bought the game if I relied on just the trailers. I despise Duncan on Crack Poster Boy. Also the whole 'Rise to Power' pitch didn't appeal to me either. I thought "Wow, from Hero who stopped the Blight in a year (something no other being on Thedas has done) with only TWO GW's to a Conan wannabe who rises to power over the course of a decade". Yay sign me up sign me up!
Not.
It was later when they offered more for those who preordered (yea, I admit that was the bait I nibbled on till I saw 'mystery companion' and foolishly got it for that reason). Sebastian was nice and all but umm yea not worth an entire DLC. (Though that one cutscene in "Repentence" is almost worth the 'cost of admission').
This is not to say I didn't enjoy DA2. Far from it. In fact, I think it was worth every penny I plunked down for it and I DLed the demo to get a taste of what I would be experiencing in the game.
But ultimately I bought the game for multiple reasons. Signature Edition perks, no cost DLC and the new combat system, not to mention, Bioware has delivered a lot of fun to me in the products from them I have played in the past and I trusted them not to fail me now.  Also what I wasn't expecting but got anyway was actual character development on some of the companions and NPC's in the game.  By the time I finished some characters I had found exasperating also made me laugh and cry (Isabella is a stand out in her development from ****ty, busty 2 dimensional character to a fully fleshed interesting companion).
And deliver Bioware did. Currently on my 4th playthrough and still laughing at the funny scenes, crying at the tender ones and having a blast.
And I have only seen two trailers for the game. (The one where Poster Boy rips what I assume is the Arishok apart with a spell and the cutscene which introduces Sebastian). Both I feel failed to represent their respective parts poorly as Poster Boy isn't half as cool in game as his flashy 'legendary' self and Sebastian, while nice enough, is a LOT less interesting after that initial cutscene.

That was actually mages vs Templar conflict, not daughters of Flemeth.

But I did feel pissed at the lack of nice finishing moves. Or how the Harvester thing panned out.

I've just noticed those Templar shields still use the DA:O design (sword hilt at the bottom) which tells you how obsolete the materials and ideas used when production of it started were.
