You know what? I quit.

If you can't even address my arguments seriously, let alone maintain the integrity your own, there no point. I won't convince you, which I never really considered likely, but more importantly it's not even fun to argue against you.

Didn't someone accuse you of attacking them over this issue a few pages back? I don't think you've maintained your composure or integrity as much as you seem to think. I'll clearly agree with you that this discussion isn't getting us anywhere and it's best if we let this rest.

No.

I'm sure you do.

Which is why you responded?

The Chantry is the overseeing government of the Templars, the military wing.

The Chantry is not a government, to start off with. The Templars are also not an organically integrated organization either: the Templars are functionally an associate organization.

Everything the Templars have done, the Chantry is ultimately responsible for these atrocities.

Fallacy of composition.

The destruction of that office of enslavement, rape, murder, and worse is a noble act of war.

Since the Circle system really can't qualify as a recognized system of slavery (the mages and even Tranquil are not regarded as property, are not bought and sold, are not forced to work against their will), and have laws outlawing their own abuse of rape, murder, and worse...

It's erie how many echoes from the good OBL are coming across.

So... yeah.  I'm just going to go ahead and say you're completely wrong about everything here.

The Chantry oversees the Templars.  Much like government has a military, the Chantry has the templars.  This is obvious.  The Chantry, being over the Templars, is responsible for their actions.  They are not innocent; they are complicit.

So far as the rest, you obviously haven't read the codex very closely.  Mages ARE made to do services against their will.  Lighting the "eternal flame" of Andraste is just one such example.  There are no laws enforced against templars for abusing mages in Kirkwall.  None.  Hence the rape, lobotomization, murder, etc.

No.

I recall Camenae saying otherwise.

I didn't think agreeing with you would be a matter up for debate.
