I've played through a lot of differing perspectives, but my two 'canon' plays are
Katherine - Grey Warden Commander in DA:O and DA:A
- Female Elf Circle Mage, very anti-blood magic and anti-abomination
- Worked with the First Enchanter to catch Jowan, subsequently sent him back to the Templars at Redcliffe
- Recruited and kept all companions
- Romanced Zevran, thought of Alistair as a brother in arms, hardened him
- Never figured out Wynne was an abomination, or she'd be dead too
- Sided with the Templars at the Circle (big event for her) and therefore had to kill that little boy abomination so his mother wouldn't live with the image forever, because blood magic was out of the question
- Lifted the Curse, but did not kill the Elves other than the leader
- Sided with Bhelen on Zevran's advice
- Let Loghain live and join the Wardens, thought Alistair was an ASS for not telling her he was royalty before they'd done all that treaty work together (never took him with into Lothering at first)
- Had Alistair marry Anora
- Refused Morrigan's offer and intended to die to the Archdemon personally but Loghain convinced her he deserved the honor of redemption over time
- Destroyed the Blood power potion for Wardens and killed the old mage guy
DA:A
- Recruited and friended all, never had anything against Nathaniel anyway, just his idiot father
- Did NOT let the dalish elf mage become a Warden for the wrong reasons
- Took Anders because we were low on Wardens, not out of sympathy
- Didn't want corpse Justice wandering around unsupervised
- Fully upgraded the Keep (everyone survived, though the dalish mage disappeared)
- Killed the Architect and anything else with a taint that walked by
- Saved Amaranthine
DA2
Integra - Champion of Kirkwall
- Female Warrior, two handed sword style, very anti-blood magic very anti-abomination
- Recruited and Friended all available
- Romanced Fenris
- Bethany died in the Deep Roads
- Isabella ran off like the **** she is
- Sided with the Templars, consistently throughout the game
- Will either kill Anders or make him see the light (not there yet)
- Merrill too, that mirror is nothing but trouble!
These are just my two 'canon' people though - I've played a mage who loved Anders and went renegade with him and a Warden who believed that all magic had potential good (Dalish) if applied properly and was happy to work with grey areas if they served a purpose and a few in between characters too.
