Different Hawke, different doggy names. For my current playthrough, it's Fluffy.

I name him Fang every time. It probably seems lame, but I did name him after someone! Fang is one of my fave animals in town in Animal Crossing. If I have to name some animal in a game I tend to revert to those names if they sound decent.

Well in DAO I named my Mabari after my first dog, Rugby ( my dad played the sport growing up in Scotland). In DAII I named him after my second dog, Buddy. Im in trouble if there is a Mabari in DAIII because I have run out of dogs!

I named the Mabari NotGaspode.. because he was not Gaspode (Mabari from Origins, got to love Terry Pratchett) and because I honestly couldn't come up with a decent name for him, and he wasn't as great as my origins dog so the name didn't matter? If I ever do a second playtrough he is going to be named You.. so I can shout at him "HEY you, yeah, you."

Bebouse!

It's a nicknake I have for my youngest son. It started out as "My sweet Baboo", like what Sally calls Linus, in the Peanuts comic strips. It sort of mooshed together and ended up Bebouse. I was like "Hey great name for a dog!" and.. well..

I'll make sure never to tell my son this when he gets old enough to be embarrassed by me

Most recently, Peaches. I had forgotten about that letter before the Deep Roads when I named him, and when I remembered, it was just that much funnier, imagining Carver gigglesnorting every time Hawke called the dog.
