I'm using some of the mods on Nexus to alter looks of companions but the forum search is hanging and won't return anything..

I'm wondering how this is done? what tool is used?  I, mainly, want to edit hair/hair color on Merril and perhaps others.

can anyone point me in the direction of what editor is being used for this?
