And that's just Amazon.
And it doesn't say from what timespan the sales are gathered. No way Crysis 2 has sold more than RDR.
And it's just Xbox 360.

Amazon is just one store.
No conclusive evidence in any way.
For more information on sales go to this site: http://www.vgchartz.com/

Largest evidence for poor sales is that you have not seen the EA splash ads that accompany outstanding success.

It is but the 360 is the largest selling platform too so it' significant.
Yeah, but I seriously laughed when it says that Black Ops has sold worse than 12 months of Xbox Live Gold. They should have at least putted up from what to when these sales are.
People buy their Live-time directly on their Xbox or from their nearest market, not from Amazon.

If DA2 ever sells 3 mio copies it is considered a success pretty sure. I mean DA:O I think sold 4 mio. in one and half year and it is considered a success. With 5 years development time.CaimDark wrote...
What is it with DA fans hoping DA2 bombs because the game disappointed? Sure, Bioware rushed the sequel and it shows, but I like DA, and I don't want the series to disappear, which is exactly what will happen if it bombs. Maybe it's a good think NPD has forbidden anyone from sharing their sales data with the media. With luck, it will help to to tone down the "COD sold 20 million, game X sold "only" 3 million in 2 months, game X is an epic failure!!!" mentality.

You are forgetting that the reason that DA2 underwent these changes was to attract the "mass market". Selling the same as DA will not be seen as a success it will be seen as a failure.

Due to digital distribution, sales figures reported by third-parties are becoming less and less relevant. PC supposedly only accounts for 14% of Crysis sales, but that number only includes retail. I have not bought a PC game at retail in a long time, and neither have most of my friends.

I am pretty sure they halfed the budget of DA:O in DA2. So if it does have the same sales it can't be a failure from a economist point of view. They may have tried to attract a new market, but there is never a guarantee that this works, with no product. Anyway, it would still be a financial success.BobSmith101 wrote...

plus that DA2 could count on the fans DA:O got (and a lot more money put into advertising).
a new game selling slowly? normal. the sequel to a very popular game selling slow? guess.

i disagree. i study economics and one of the first things they taught us is the value of regular customers and with that the value of sustainability. DA2 will likly give Bioware/EA a nice profit, but it harms their reputation and future sells of any other product they launch, as much as DA:O made people preorder DA2 or ignore bad reviews/the demo will DA2 make people not preorder the next or ignore good reviews (as there were a lot of 95% previews to this one)
and this goes for all products in near future.
just see for youself, i try to not be a stupid no-reason hater, but i will sure as hell wait 1-4 weeks after, say, the old republic launch and then read the user-reviews before buying it..or not.

Seems like it sold quite well.
Life sucks, doesn't it?
Sorry, but I can't help but be ridiculous when people are utterly ridiculous.
Edit: Not saying it is a fact that it wont fail, but these "I'm-going-to-state-something-as-a-fact" posts are annoying.

It's not the same thing. If they see DA2 as a failed experiment then it's either even more streamlining ,cancelation, or one last mediocre project before shutdown.
The reception DA2 has received means that they can't slip anything by people next time around.

You sure it's not a false?
Edit: Ran a scan and didn't find anything...

Did you know 2011 Chevy Silvarados are selling better than 1968 VW Beetles these days? What is going on?
Economics. How does it work? Please to tell me?
