Not that I know of or have read about anywhere.
It's speculated they're going to use it for DLC.
It looks identical to it's greatsword version in DA:O to me though, might just be leftover files.

The Handle is a lot bigger than the version in Origins, also the weapon itself looks much more detailed.
Its a very beautiful sword, i just wish the blade was straight instead of curved tough.

Yeah I noticed that, but it looks like they just scaled it up, stretched the handle. If you look closely in DA:O, the detail is exactly the same, I think it's just the DA2 graphics that are making it look slightly different.
Then again I could be completely wrong and they retouched the whole thing, in which case I'm making an ass out of myself.
In either case, I hope it shows up in DLC for you warrior players

If your on PC and have vaddin mod installed you can /runscript vaddin Vigilance and poof there it is. It's already in game just not obtainable through drops or quest. Just like a lot of the unlockables in DA2.
