nice job... this game has to be the best troll i have ever seen. i meen putting that much effort in to making a great game just to dash oure hopes and dreams in the end. bravo gentelmen bravo

to take a series from best ever to worst ever and leave me and many others with a soure taste in oure collective mouths is a feat worthy of prais.

good bye bioware.. i will never see you again
and EA games... go f*** yourself

This is my first post and I'd just like to say you're ignorant. Majority of the people who hate on this game because of it's ending pay little attention to detail if they think it goes against the story. So, stay true to your goodbye and get. Go post on Gamespot or something.

Just played it, I've loved every bit of DLC so far, but after finishing this... I am struggling to think of what has been gained.... Nothing.

At the end of this I managed to prevent the Reapers coming to the galaxy... just like I did at the end of the actual game. So the point in buying/downloading/playing Arrival was?

I believe that if you don't play it (and if you start a basic ME3 game), you are on trial for working for Cerberus not for destroying the Alpha Relay and 300,000 Batarians. An elite Aliance team goes instead and are killed destroying the Alpha Relay and so are not available in ME3, affecting your war asset score.

Thanks for everyone who posted in this thread. I wanted to know if I should bother and it was easier to just get the cut scenes on youtube so I know what relevant info I needed. Thanks for all the input.

Finished ME2 not long ago, then bought Arrival. A very nice addition, it was a bit hard for me to beat it even on normal level.

Arrival was fun but not the best addition story wise. I would have preferred if a similar idea had been tied into the Collectors' goal. Have the collectors gathering resources and labor to construct a bare bones version of the Citadel so the Reapers could enter the galaxy. The location is not discovered but the processing base is. Have a cross between how collectors are made and husks but applied to humans.

Would someone be kind enough to count how many enemies you must face after Amanda points the gun at you? In the 2 segments, I mean. First, close to the object, and then, after you´re drugged and try to escape.

The reason why I´m asking is that I find hard to believe that a top secret science project would have so many guards.

Also, since I took out so many of them on my way out, I find hard to believe that there were no shuttles left. They probably had dozens of ships in order to evacuate the place.

Another thing that bothers me is that we never get to know what happens with some of the scientists/guards who menage to escape. Have they gone back to the alliance? if so,, why didn´t the admiral question them? They´re probably all indoctrinated, and there were no lasting repercussions.

They really should have had zero survivors, because that does leave a nagging gap in the story.

As for Hackett, it's possible that they were not all Alliance, or that he would be aware of the entirety of the staff in Kenson's employ.

I like Arrival.

It is short. I find it funny that if they wanted to keep Shepard from  escaping, they would've strapped him/her to the bed. The fighting is alright. When playing as a biotic its funny listening to the sounds  the enemies make when using pull or singularity. My favorite part is talking with Harbinger in his true form. You only see him in his true form if you play the dlc after the suicide mission. It's also the last thing I do before importing my save to ME3

7/10

Harbinger looks like the same projection as Sovereign other than the scope of their sizes, it really didn't have that effect for me. But to each their own. Personally, had Arrival been released at the same time ME2 was released, it would have had more of an impact. But it was lost on me after seeing the very ending of ME2 and the impending Reaper invasion. Arrival appeared tacked on as I already knew what was to come and nothing I did in Arrival changed that. I also didn't care for the meaninglessness it added to my carryover into ME3, where it just got barely mentioned (by Anderson) regarding my actions in it, with no consequences to them in the game. Personally, I would have rather had Leviathan as a DLC for ME2 since that would have given more depth to taking the fight to the Reapers in ME3, but such as it is.

Oh, I know that, but they are essentially all the same shapes (designed after the Leviathans), except that Harbinger is the oldest (the first) of the Reapers.

There were some good things done in this DLC. I enjoyed the non-linear structure of the first segment. The fact that you could infiltrate the place without sounding alarms was also cool. Playing solo for a very good portion of the game was challenging and different.

I did not like the story, nor keason, nor the absence of familiar faces. If would have been much better if the DLC could offer the virmire survivor for one mission, or a new character that would become a regular squad-mate in me3.

This could be a major selling point for the dlc, with the return of a character, or a preview of a me3 character.

Arrival sort of ticked me off because I had to fight alone. They'd think I could at least bring in Kasumi or Garrus, but no! It was a solo mission where I'm getting burned up and shot down.

I think I cried the first time I played Arrival. Shepard looks like she was about to breakdown at the end.

I enjoyed Arrival. I liked how it was a solo mission to show off how bad ass Shepard by himself. I would have liked 1 other real squadmate occasionally(not Dr. Kenson). Having an option to go full stealth infllrating the building was cool and something I would have liked to see more throughout the series.
