Doesn't that limit your roleplaying a lot? If I only played people like me I'd miss half the game in any decent RPG.

It limits my roleplaying even more if my character was the opposite gender from me. And I am by no means missing half the game.

Not half the game; yeah, I was exaggerating. You just miss any RP choice that you personally wouldn't make and any content limited to a gender you won't play.

How would playing as a female limit your roleplaying? You can project yourself into the role of a space marine, but not a female?
