Anders makes a comment about Justice leaving his body, actually. In that ending about convincing him to side with the templars at max rivalry, he says, "but if I die--now or after--perhaps it will be Justice and not Vengeance who rises from my corpse". This convinces me that although Anders and Justice are entwined, Justice will persist to exist. Only Anders dies, making it plausible for Anders' body to return, at least.

Given that Justice is a spirit and can either choose to inhabit his body even after he dies or leave it indefinitely, I'd say Anders has a chance of returning. Only he isn't going to be Anders. More like, a meatsuit.

...Sigh. When you kill a mage possessed by a spirit, the spirit returns to the fade. Justice only managed to possess Kristoff's dead body in a freak accident involving the Baroness' magic iirc - he didn't seek out the corpse to possess it. This logic would indicate that he can't just magic Anders' body back into motion and carry on.

He wants something that rhymes with Hawke.  And it isn't brains.

Clearly, he's renovating the clinic and needs some caulk.

You do realize Caulking was the last ingredient in his bomb of Chantry flattening.

I certainly hope he is well and truly dead. He is such a tortured soul. Death would seem to be his only release from this.

Or if Jowan's still available, we could... Oh, wait...

Doesn't matter to me either way in the game if Anders is alive or dead in the next game. I will play it just like I played DA2.

I think he is too important to let die. Plus when has a spirit ever let it's host die easily. Something just does not seem right about that kill. With Weslie and Bethany/Carver, the kills were confirmed. I could not expect an Abomination/host dying in a place full of so much spiritual energy without resurrecting for a full scale "who's your daddy, Quinary approved, Grey Warden inspired beatdown of epic proportions.

Ser Pounce finds him and restores Anders. I don't see Pounce to far from Anders side. Yeah, whoever the knew Warden Commander is I'm pretty sure Anders was smart enough to keep Ser Pounce hidden and Pounce was around somwhere in Kirkwall. I see Anders having a backup plan the same as Flemeth.

Remember in Star Trek III when we found out Spock was in McCoy's head all along?

Guess who paid Ser Pounce-a-lot a visit before merging with Justice?

One of your companions in DA3 will be Ser Pounce-a-lot, with the attitude and vocal stylings of DA:A's Anders, albeit somewhat tempered by learning of the actions and choices of the Anders/Justice hybrid in DA2.

My knife says yes.

If he isn't I'm going to kill him again and feed him to the dog.

Let me guess. No

He fused together with a spirit of justice, I mean Vengeance. Spirits does not die, he will posses Alistar in Dragon Age 3 and take revenge on Hawke for going all stabby stabby on him.

Nope, I let him live. It would've been too easy just to kill him for blowing up the Chantry. He's wanted this mage revolution for about 10 years, so he's damn well going to fight in it. Anders is 900 years of oppression embodied in one man and the mages need him as a figurehead - even if he is horribly hypocritical in his beliefs. (Blood magic's evil, but demonic possession's ok. Sure Anders...)

Mages need an abomination as a figurehead?

Murder-knifing Blood Mage apostate wasn't rallying too many supporters.
