I think alot of us would like to know why they where not in the dlc, or even mentioned.

Bioware didn't want the VS in this DLC and therefore didn't have the VS in this DLC.. that is all.

Aside from the above, imagine how much it would cost to do two different characters without them being clones of each other like Horizon.
It'd be just like having an extra squadmate?
OMG THE COST!!!

Maybe if Bioware didn't treat the VS and there fans like crap we would not hold out hope for the last dlc.Jibbed34 wrote...
Stop assuming that your favourite character will be featured in DLC. Simple.

If they had no plans to reconcile the romance or friendship with Ash/Kai then they should not have done that with Liara, that's all there is too it.
Why do you say that? So we should just reverse the LOTSB DLC because VS fans didn't get their satisfaction?

And since it could be played prior to the suicide mission they'd have to come up with a reason for VS leaving again (since BW didn't want them on the mission so they couldn't get killed)
There is however, an easily missed refrence to VS in Arrival, which I believe is Bioware acknowledging that they will be back.

They wanted Liara to be the Shadow Broker so she got her DLC. Remember not everyone romanced Liara.
Ash/Kai were not really needed for this DLC but it would have been nice to see them. Im sure they will feature in ME3 in a big way now that Shep faces trial. I can see them coming to his aid and then rejoining him/her.

You woulnd't say the same thing if your fav character was treated like crap by the dev, always ignored and not pleasing there fans. Bioware is too busy pleasing there pew pew pew fans. The point that they got Lance back for the DLC shows me this was not a low budget dlc.gogman25 wrote...

Oh please, the world doesn't revolve around VS fans!
Treating you like crap, huh? What've they been doing then.. oh yeah, all the name-calling, banning, and teasing must be getting you lot down. Oh wait.
Grow up. Bioware has more important things to do (like provide plot-centric Reaper DLC such as Arrival), AND work on Mass Effect 3.
I don't know about you, but I'm more than grateful for the effort Bioware has put into the post-release support of this game. Maybe they're holding off with the VS because they're featured heavily in ME3? Did that ever occur to you?

Yes they would have. They rescue Shepard after she was knocked out instead of that stupid scene we get with her pulling a hulk.AquamanOS wrote...
While bitter, I can understand why. They just wouldn't have fit into Arrival's story.

Except, and I know I'm reiterating, but... we still have one more game to go. Why assume we won't get the chance to rekindle a VS romance, when we know nothing about it? Also, given where the ending of this DLC seems to be pointing (potential war crimes/terrorism trial, perhaps), it could lead to an even more dramatic story arc with the VS in ME3.Mr.House wrote...

But at the same time many Liara fans were pissed with how she came off in the main game.

After beating it, I see no reason why they where not the dlc, this would bet he perfect time to bring them back so what is Biowares excuse? Do they plain not care about the characters, think no one cares for them and said screw it?

im glad they werent in because i like the idea to keep my me2 squad and have some form of paranoia/ why moments with former members. im not bashing the vs but i find them really boring. at least with the me2 crew they have interesting backround stories

LotSB was all about Liara and her quarry with the Shadow Broker, and not solely focused on the relationship with her. To my knowledge even those who dislike Liara enjoyed the experience of that DLC, and the fact that Bioware CATERED TO THE FANS of Liara shows their commitment to the community.
You and the VS will get your reunion, just be patient.

Oh, get off your bloody high horse. Maybe if you VS fans didn't whine and complain so much and vent all your rage on the forums, people wouldn't be so annoyed by you. Also, using the term "pew pew fans" just makes your views even less valid. I enjoyed ME2 more then ME1, and the only shooters I really play are Halo and half-life. (I hate activision.)Mr.House wrote...

My favourite ME1 character was Wrex, before you say my fav characters weren't abused. Sure, Wrex got good content, but he still wasn't a squadmate. Bioware have said from the start that Ashley and Kaidan would be reserevd for ME3. It's people assuming that they have their own DLC when all evidence indicates otherwise that have led to all the butthurt.

I imagine the Mass Effect 2 budget and the Mass Effect 3 budget are two entirely different things. Either way it's logically better to put forward 95% of their resources to ME3 right now. But the 5% is enough for one last fairly enjoyable DLC.

Diffrence with lIara is we where able to refirm the romance with Liara and we know where the hell it's going. There is nothing for the VS. All we have is a crappy cameo, a bad email and Bioware pissing on them.Baihu1983 wrote...
