I wonder if that was just some sort of joke for them to say "but they are in the dlc!"

I agree with Fiery Pheonix. A lot of people on these forums are very predictable Alien=good
Human=bad. Put Jacobs character into a Drell and he would have a steady base of supporters. If TIM was an alien people would love him. If Ashley were a quarian people would writing love ballads in her honor!
What are you talking about? There's alot of Humans I love and hate. Just like how there are a lot of aliens I love and hate. It doesn't matter if it's an Alien or a Human, it all depends on the character. Enough of these sweeping generalizations.

I guess they were telling the truth then, the VS was not forgotten
You really want to go OT about this? Alright then.ADLegend21 wrote...
Um Shepard has a dialogue choice where she tells Tali she's wrong, but she doesn't listen. Ashley and Kaidan however, they're open to contrusctive criticism.Quole wrote...

really? Becuase she and Wrex get along fine in the elvators, her and Garrus too, they talk very cordially in those elevators. but Oh no she's worried that they might be spies AUTOMATIC RACISM!!!!! But a certain purple clad person ACTIVELY spouts hate speech about a synthetic life form and that's okay.Quole wrote...
No, instead Ashley hates all non-humans. I can see how thats a big upgrade from hating synthetics (which she probably hates anyway). If you ask me, the VS is the worst character in the series.... besides jacob.ADLegend21 wrote...
yeah not everyone has to go "Shepard, please Save me and solve all of m problems all the time!" Some peolpe actually solve their own problems and don't need Shepard to tell them how to live or use her as a sounding board for their talks of genocide and hate for synthetics. They're called human squadmates and they're good looking too.Quole wrote...
I dont believe you.iakus wrote...

WAIT. The VS has fans?
Suprisingly, yes. Even ordinary people who excel at their jobs, deal with their own problems rather than have Shepard handle it for them, and aren't interstellar bad****es have fans
I agree with Fiery Phoneix that Alien=Cool Human= not cool. It's why Kaidan, Ash, Miranda, Jack, and Jacobhave ahters like Quole here.
Everyone hated the geth. EVERYONE. Tali was no exception. Remember, you only find out about Legion near the end of the game, so the whole hereitc/true geth issue was never even known to anyone.

James2912 is right, I've had it with this thread and it's anti-human bs!James2912 wrote...

It really doesn't help that Ashley uses excuses I've heard actual racists use IRL..
"IT isn't racism. It's patriotism!" That was a major, major get away moment for awhile.

People paint Ashley with too broad a brush, focusing in on what she says very early in the game, and not seeing the whole picture. Same with calling Kaidan boring.

That said, the whole "anti-human bias" thing some people are talking about is quite frankly ridiculous. And Miranda is the most popular romance.

What is the fanbases excuse for hyping themselves up for something BioWare never even hinted would exist, and which actually went against something BioWare had already said?

Or....well, to be blunt, maybe Bioware just plain didn't think they fit into the story this time around?

Kaidan was screwed from the beginning. He has no personal introductory scene at all if you're a male Shepard, and the closest thing he's got for a female Shepard is being yanked into the beacon.
As for Ashley, her mild speciesism was either handled badly or there's a huge bias against that character trait, which I can't honestly say is a bad thing. I suppose she was just a crash-and-burn in the eyes of a large proportion of the fanbase.

While Miranda maybe the most popular romance (I don't beleive stats because they say 80% of plyers play male Shep) there are huge signs that it is in fact true for most players. Kaidan's a whiner, but he tells Shep he's got his past squared away, yet Garrus complains about c-sec and his dad throughout ME1 and then his Omega team throughout ME2. Ashley's calle da racist for expressing concer about showing aliens vital alliance systems, and after heer writer came out and said she's not racist, but tali's allowed to advocate the genocide of a synthetic species who had been attacked by their creators and she's beloved and supported. Jacob doens't burden Shepard with his problems and deals with them on his won yet he's hated, douchy, and boring and yet he's the only Love interest that asks shepard how she feels about this entire mission abd being brought back to life. There is an anit-human bias, but it's not withstanding for everyone.Xilizhra wrote...
