Kaidan is calm and thoughtful, definitely the angel on your shoulder. His stories of BAat were quite cool without being over the top (like Jack's backstory) He's the poster boy for someone with a messed-up life and managed to overcome it. I'd take him as a squadmate over Jack any day. At least I could be sure he won't go on a killing spree with the crew.

I really need to point out that Jack's life was orders of magnitude worse than Kaidan's.

Kaidan's a whiner, but he tells Shep he's got his past squared away, yet Garrus complains about c-sec and his dad throughout ME1 and then his Omega team throughout ME2.

Neither is a whiner. I think Kaidan was tainted with Carth's voice, and then it became sort of a meme.

Ashley's calle da racist for expressing concer about showing aliens vital alliance systems, and after heer writer came out and said she's not racist, but tali's allowed to advocate the genocide of a synthetic species who had been attacked by their creators and she's beloved and supported.

Well, she is speciesist. As is Tali. Ashley, however, didn't have her entire species be nearly annihilated. I also don't think that most Tali fans are anti-geth, and realize that her opinions on them were incorrect.

Jacob doens't burden Shepard with his problems and deals with them on his won yet he's hated, douchy, and boring and yet he's the only Love interest that asks shepard how she feels about this entire mission abd being brought back to life.

Jacob's got some very legitimate reasons for many of these, though I don't feel like getting into all of them now.

No one is perfect. I don't believe that there's any systemic antihuman bias on these boards.

Indeed, which is why I mentioned that her backstory is "over the top" as in gratuitously horrific

oh yeah he threatens the migrant fleet, only after Tali threatens his entire race. Tali is the aggressor in all of this and I don't see Ashley having conflicts with Garrus over the first contact war. Yet Tali can't handle Legion warning the geth of what the Quarians are doing to them in captivity. I understand what you're saying and I am refuting it with story given facts. the hate against Kaidan and ashley is unwarranted since bioware is already excluding them from Mass effect 2 beyond them yelling at the player.

I'm just kidding. isn't this whole thread about two characters who were treated unfairly by the writting staff and an supposed explanation being discussed, but derailed by a certain few who believe that caring about your favorite character is wrong when it's not their own favorite character and miniature discussions growing because of that certain few?

uhh When does that EVER happen? Tali had  no idea what her father was doing, and didnt want legion to send the data back because it would start a war that a lot of her people dont even want This is stated by Shepard.
Again, Tali being distrusful of Legion is completely justified for all the reasons I stated before.. You seem to be ignoring that.

Also, its up to the player to decide whether or not geth can be considered an actual race, as not everyone on this forum agrees with that.

i have grown to like jacob latley. the only thing i really dont like his is typical daddy issue. i was kinda hoping he'd have something involving his time in the alliance
