isn't  Asia  on the moon then??? :P

maybe you should kick XBL Asia in the Quads, it might help , and if they are duos just kick em twice

That's a good point! But I'm actually a PS3 owner lol So XBL is not my target,in fact PSN is...
And woot!Asia on the moon?!That is huge!Even top scientists couldn't figure out what's what on the moon, while we Asians live on it without breathing any air lol

I don't know if anyone in the know (Bioware/EA/Microsoft staff) is going to be reading this thread 7 pages in, but does anybody know if the Arrival DLC is available in Japan? ? It appears in the Cerebrus Network to be purchasable, but when I try, I get a "There are no items available for purchase," error message.

My guess is that having a mission ending with you desperately trying to cool down a reactor or everyone dies might hit a little too close to home for the Japanese market at the moment.

I see. I had no idea that a reactor meltdown featured in Arrival (I've deliberately been avoiding all mentions of plot other than the basic premise). I could see that being a problem in Japan. If that is indeed the reason, then Japan will likely never get that DLC, at least not before ME3 :(

However, that still doesn't explain why Arrival appears on the Cerebrus Network screen for purchase, nor does it explain why Alternate Appearance Pack 2 gets the same error message that Arrival does. Unless all the new costumes in AAP2 have nuclear mushrooms or tidal wave symbols on them! :pinched:

DLC arrival was pretty kool, only problem i have found with it (from a PS3 point of view) is that it sends the rest of the game a bit off, all your decisions seem to have been made irrelivent, in-so-much as, when choosing to leave behind someone on vermire whoever you pick you get chat options for both, on the news on the citafel you get the destiny asscension making its 20 colony victory cruise (as i chose to save the council) but when you talk to the reporter she asks why you chose to abandon the council and allow the destiny asscensions destruction..... is this a standard problem on PS3 or is it just me?

I'm a little saddened this is the Final DLC for Mass Effect 2. I think it's awesome and a great way to get us revved up for the final act, but I wanted another chance to Flirt up Ashley. I loved that Liara got the chance to renew her romance with shepard, but for the Ashley/Kaidan fans, we were left with a cold response and an apologetic email. I'm am very glad they will be returning to the squad in ME3 three though

I agree but I would like Kaidan/Ashley to be a permanent squad member more than I would like a dlc for them. With them being permanent squad members they'll be around all the time. We shall see if that actually happens or not. Not selling Bioware's Mass Effect team short, yet.

Nice prelude into ME3. Would have liked to seen a more elaborate mission, but it was worth $7.

I would have preferred to have atleast 1 squadmate, since playing as a Biotic I was getting overwhelmed on Insanity a few times. Also would have liked to see more dialogue, interaction between PC and Batarians, to help realize the impact of sacrificing a relay-system and 300,000 people.

I did read on the Codex however that the colonized batarian world was mostly a down-trodden almost slave-labor based society. Nasty Batarians.

I just finished Arrival after much prodding from my son. I liked it even though it was too short. The one thing that disturbs me is that Sheppard has seen and communicated with a reaper twice, Why was she/he not filming it. I'm sure they have the tech to put video monitoring devices in the armor. Oh well, off to play Baldur's Gate until the end of the year.

i don't know if anyone has realized this but the lights that represents harbinger's eyes (if you beat the game before the DLC) look like a smiley face. I too agree that it did feel short but it was nice to finally realize that the reapers are indeed coming and not be some elusive villain that we never see.

I liked it. Not as good as LotSB, but still good.
Enjoyed that sneaking by the guards was an option, enjoyed Shepard going solo on a mission, enjoyed the object Rho fight, and enjoyed that the dlc tied together ME2 and ME3.
There were some plot holes, but I am willing to overlook them because I mostly only notice those after somebody else has pointed them out to me.

Did NOT enjoy Shepard talking to herself out loud, especially not during a stealth mission. To me, that just seemed like poor story telling technique. The occasional smartmouth comment or action hero one-liner would be okay, but when the one-person dialogue is along the lines of "Oh no, I don't have much time, I have to get there fast" it becomes pretty silly. There are so many other and better ways to let the player know that they are in a hurry or what is the next step, or whatever you wanted to convey, without making it seem like we are in an interactive soap opera.

Hallo yall ME ppl
Could not wait to play the arrival DLC, felt the same with ME3 but finishing all the DLC and realising the complexity, variants of the plot(s) and of what can happen, i am rather so scared in a sense to play ME3 cause everything is going to change and will be final, i think it will all be a helpless battle even if you had choosen methodes to assist like keeping the collector base, rachni, legion changing the heretics logic, it is going to take a very unique charater that will be able to stop/destroy the reapers with aid that has to be either a adepth or tech, so I hoped yall enjoyed ME / ME2 cause the next ME is going to be a shocker hands down!!!!!!

LOVE YOU BIOWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You Rock

If they're even planning one, it won't be announced for a little while yet.  They want more time for Arrival to sell.  I kinda doubt there'll be one anyway, given that ME3's release isn't that far off.

also, at the part where the clock is counting down, it keeps counting as it waits for your response. Has anybody tried just waiting the full time yet and seeing what happens?

Unless you are a hardcore Mass Effect fan then I would not recommend "The Arrival". (Which I am sure most here are. After all we would not be blogging about it.) It is my least favorite DLC content out of both ME games. The story was excellent! Too much cinematic scenes and not enough action for my taste. Took me a couple hours to breeze through it on Hardcore mode. And I am one to look everywhere in this game.

BTW... Hello every one. I am not new to this site, but new to posting on this site.

joking right?        If you havn't read or heard about the game informer reveal....  then you would know that ME3 takes place just months after the events of Arrival....   Shepard postpones the arrival of the reapers into the galaxies first relay giving them more time to prepare.         This, more than any other DLC... bridges the gap.

This DLC felt too short and rushed. The presentation looks good even though it resembles a large mission from the ME1 series, only with a bit of grandeur in the storytelling.

One large mission from the ME1 could cover the entire DLC except the story and the renewed scenery and graphics. In all honesty, I would not pay for this kind of content and feel like I was ripped off.

Background story is lacking credibility and depth. The action links the events from the end of ME2 to the next part of the saga. However, this happens in a very blunt and crude way - the sacrifice of killing 300,000 people to delay the reaper invasion goes by almost unnoticed.

Shepard finally meets Admiral Hackett in person, who could use more of the "finesse" and smooth personality from the ME1. I also found the story ironic because, like those who played the ME1 DLC "Bring Down the Sky", this time you are in an asteroid but a lot of batarians are getting killed instead.

This DLC had some good parts though.

It was good because of the scenario and sense of mission. The ambiance and setting reminds the ME1 missions, which I missed in ME2 entirely. The action in the mission is good and you get to meet Admiral Hackett in person.

However, overall it was bad because the story that links the second and third parts of the saga is obvious and there is little emphasis on the in-chracter actions and their consequences.

In ME1, being able to drop in a planet or asteroid with the rover gave the player a big sense of freedom and exploration. This was neglected altoghether in ME2 in favour of a more orchestrated storytelling.

In ME2 we can find only a couple of missions with the hammerhead vehicle that leaves much to desire. The new vehicle missions also felt short sighted. I could say it does not make justice to the sense of exploration we had from ME1.

For Mass Effect 3, Bioware should have missions like this in the game by default or make them available for free. I'm not paying for this kind of content anymore.

I bought all DLC related to the Mass Effect series up to now, and I must say I'm quite tired too. I'm not spending this much money again over one-hour missions that don't accomplish anything story-wise.

I'll also wait it out a bit when ME3 gets released, I don't trust Bioware this much after seeing what they did with DAO.
