and also.........screw the crappy potion effects and elemental weapon effects....seen them now and not much cop imo and the old rune effects from DA1 were so much better.....bring them back.....pleeeeeeeeeeaaaassee
)))) Remember folks at Bioware if you read this RPG'ers want to feel special and powerfull even if it takes a while to get there but having some really great sword or staff glowing or sparkling its ass off is not too much to ask imo

I'm glad they got rid of the rune effects. They were quite disturbing at times in DA:O especially the fire rune.
You can picture some random bystander in the middle of the Denerim market screaming "Makers blood man your back's on fire" to which your warden responds with a grin "No sirrah, it's just my wicked cool enchanted sword."

lol....that was quite funny........but maybe a better glowing effect to represent it then
gotta be something better than nothing at all, which is more or less what we got in DA2 now. How about different colored sparkly effects depending on which rune you had. At least then you wouldn't fry or electricute your back walking thru Denerim or Kirkwall in this case

And show more armor effects after upgrading the companion armor....again nothing at all even at full upgrade. They can still keep the fixed general look but maybe change colors or add smaller effects etc....jewelry, bracers, boots(my Fenris rant
gloves....anything to show the player something after spending the gold to buy the upgrade in the first place.

Yeah the elves & lack of shoes was a bit weird. Maybe to illustrate the fact that elves are considered second class citizens in Thedas?
Changes to the companion armour on upgrade would have been cool.

I'm glad those effects are gone. I hated how I could see my character's teeth and eyeballs floating inside his head whenever I used "Beyond the Veil" on my Spirit Warrior. That made all the cutscenes a little awkward; did no one see cause to comment on the fact that the Warden Commander appeared to have turned into a Jack-o'-lantern?
