I love Tali but I just didn't understand all the hoopla about her in ME1. It wasn't until a couple of weeks later when I grabbed ME2 for the first time on PS3 that I came to enjoy her so much; she just runs out of stuff to say way too quickly in the first game.

Liara's pretty interesting; I like her about as much in both titles. Ashley and Kaidan are alright -- good enough that I fervently supported their return and all that. But I don't think they're outstanding or anything.

1) Saren - because he is one of the rare well written conflicted villain that makes his downfall more tragic
2) Udina - for being what I expected a politician to be, but still serves humanity interests as his ultimate goal
3) Charles Saracino - for being able to put forth Terra Firma Party's ideology so eloquently he almost had me convinced
4) Captain Kirrahe - for making the super inspiring "Holding the Line" speech!

Wrex hands down. Garrus is great too but I think thats only because I grew to like him more in the second one.

From Squad members: Garrus, overal, is the one I like the most. I sincerely cant decide between Wrex and Tali as a very close second option.

Nihlus and Saren are also cool. I guess I got a thing for Turians.

Why does everyone like Wrex? He seems like an idiot in ME1, you know with that "I'm thinking I should come along to kill some dudes becuase I like it". He just seems too much like Zaeed....

Characters & why I like them:
1) Wrex- The list is too long
2) Garrus- Sleek, witty, effective, comical
3) Saren- Nice old school enemy
4) The Turian councilor because I wanted to **** slap him the entire game
