do you mean in the sidebar on the homepage? It shows topics that have recent posts on them - not just new topics.

I mean the "documents" icon in the forum index on the left hand side of each thread - it lights up (yellow) for new posts, but not when someone replies. For example, your reply did not trigger a highlight on this thread for me.
