Can we make Morrigan into a spirit healer? i don't want to use old granny Wynne

Some european dude on the bioware social site said healers are a must-have. I do not want some old *** lady named Wynee to be in my group. Ever. My questions are-
1. People said Morrigan doesn't start out as a spirit healer. Since you get a specialization point at level 7 and level 14, will she be able to spec into being a spirit healer?
2. Would I have to recruit her in my party before she is level 14, before the game automatically chooses her two specializations for her?
3. What if I recruit Morrigan before level 7. Will I be able to choose whatever specialization I want for her at level 7, and then another specialization for her at level 14?
All I want is to make Morrigan a spirit healer. I know she has healing spells when you first get her, but I want to make her spec into being a spirit healer.

Basically, Wynne or your character. Perhaps down the road you can change her specialization tho? Dunno. Thats the way it seems as of now based on what we know. Someone might have something else to add/change.

Also, I'm pretty certain that if a healer is that important they would have put more in the game, we'll just have to wait and see how the game plays out I reckon.

I don't see why some people are so opposed to Wynne. The buxom young witch has been done to death, and Wynne seems to have so much more potential character-wise in my mind, but then I always question why it is that it seems that all wizards are women and all the warriors are men these days, whether it's in games or film or literature. Whatever happened to the naive young guy wizard or the badass valkyrie?

Well a major problem, beyond aesthetics, is her personality. She is a "good" person it seems. How is that going to fix with all the players who want to take the "evil" route and will be forced to constantly ****** her off, potentially causing her to leave?
Basically, if you're forced to use her in Normal/hard mode, then you are putting a limit on the gameplay options of the player both party wise and story wise.
All we can do is pray that we can give Morrigan a healing specialization later on that includes group heal/revive.

Probably true.Galf706 wrote...
I was under the impression you got to pick your companions second specialization. Is that not true?
However, it's level 14. Which is relatively late.

BioWare wouldn't include only 2 possible healers, who are both easily alienated (for they are moral extremes) if they where crucial for beating the game

Well, considering that they have attempted to avoid straight good/evil characters in this game, it is quite possible that Wynne is not as good as she sounds and Morrigan isn't as evil as she makes herself out to be (in fact, that's a virtual guarantee with Morrigan). I also don't see what's wrong with her appearance, but then I have been getting bored of playing the 'young hero' model anyway, be good to try out the tired old man for once.
