I always select spirit healer for Morrigan and it makes her a must have party member. Even at level 1 with group heal and level 1 heal form the creation tree she can help maintain health levels of my party and then throw in some of her other spells she is a multi-talented witch. Unlike the old hag lady who seems to be a one note buff joke, fine if you have an archer or someone to take out enemy wizards but if your lacking this your in for some trouble as all the buffs in the world wont help when your crushing prisoned and a templar has to dispell all those buffs to get your out of it.
Erm... Wynne has access to the same spells as Morrigan. Why would she be a "one note buff joke"?

I totally agree. I want a spirit healer in my party and i want it to be morrigan. I'd really like to know if thats possible.
Why wouldn't it be? Make that her second specialization at level 14. There you go.

Um...what? Wynne and Morrigan have the exact same spell list to pick from...it is your fault if all you picked were buffs.

No, Magic is not better than Will, given what we know about the spellpower formulas. +100 points of spellpower is like +13 damage for most spells.Zilod wrote...
she also get a bonus to magic (generally better than will), her only huge drawback is the shapeshifter specialization that is crap... but other stats are pretty good
Of course, if you drink pots like (delicious) water, then willpower is a nonissue.

this is a different topic than the other one because I'm asking about specializations. And yes, I made the same topic on the other site.
Some european dude on the bioware social site said healers are a must-have. I do not want some old *** lady named Wynee to be in my group. Ever. My questions are-
1. People said Morrigan doesn't start out as a spirit healer. Since you get a specialization point at level 7 and level 14, will she be able to spec into being a spirit healer?
2. Would I have to recruit her in my party before she is level 14, before the game automatically chooses her two specializations for her?
3. What if I recruit Morrigan before level 7. Will I be able to choose whatever specialization I want for her at level 7, and then another specialization for her at level 14?
All I want is to make Morrigan a spirit healer. I know she has healing spells when you first get her, but I want to make her spec into being a spirit healer.
Find Wynn's son and get him to Join your party. I hear he's a spirit healer and can be found at a place in Feraldon.

it depends by spell to spell generally should be 1 magic = 1% dmg
maybe doesnt seem that much... then add +30% from elemental bonus... add 80%+ from hexes (that should also get boosted by spellpower) and spells as waking plague have +1dmg/spellpower if i remember right, entropic death combo +2dmg/spell power... factoring various boosts we are speaking of something like 200 and 400 dmg, not 13
magic is also supposed to be used for saving throws to make your spell hit mobs, this is also pretty important... magic is generally waaay more important than will

or tl:dr - get the respec mod, but I recommend not changing their default spec's in order to keep with their "themes"
