I personally don't see a problem with this (even though I can't take part in the promotion), At the end of the day this is additional content for some people. This mentality of "if I can't get it then noone can" is stupid. Now, I would also prefer if they skipped the pre-order bonuses from different stores, the promotions and just let us download them for MS/BW points. However, if it comes down to additional DLC for some people or no DLC at all then I'll happily support the first option.

Aw come on, not again. Not being in the US it was hard enough to get hold of the promotional items the first time around...
Does this mean we're going to have the retailer-specific promotional items crapfest all over again for ME3? Ugh, dear God, I hope not.

When i see how EA market their game with bunch of content unlockable if you play this game/buy this/or do that... I think ME3 will have a REAL promo-fest this time. Much like Dragon Age 2. :police:

Don't care aslong as I can get 3/4 of them or all of them with some "special edition" or "fake us adress to get pepper dlc" :P

Because someone asked, I figured I'd chime in with what I think about promos.

I imagine that there is a legal issue between EA and Dr Pepper about how the promo is advertised and used. I know whenever there are contests in the US, there's always "not available to residents of New York" or some other state in the fine print, which is definitely a result of legal issues. Just the other day, a friend and I were talking about the difference in labeling food between the US and Europe because of different standards between the USDA and the EU. What EA is doing with Dr Pepper might not be feasible under EU regulations, but EA chooses not to let the US market miss out simply because it cannot do something in another market.

I'm not a fan of exclusive promos for various pre-orders and whatnot, and I've said as much on the forums in the past. And if EA *must* do them, I feel that the content should eventually be made available to anyone who missed out either at a much later date for free or sooner for a small fee. Somehow I think that taking the time to write a letter directly to BioWare or EA might actually make more difference, but I think marketing will forever be in its own world where it needs to justify its own existence regardless of what the fans feel. And there is the annoying chance that the numbers prove that marketing works.

That said, I drink a lot of Dr Pepper. I'll save up the codes for you guys.

I got a Dead Space Dr Pepper a few weeks ago and it reminded me to stay excited about the game, which I haven't bought yet. So it works.

Well put, I say all of us in the US that do drink dr. pepper or have friends that do should pool their resources and give out codes to those that cant take part, that way everyone can share the dlc gooodness. For thoughs that are'nt in the US just use a fake address with zip code 12345 and you should still be good as long as you have the code.

Love Dr. Pepper, and DLC is always a plus in my book so it's a win-win situation. One thing that intrigues me is that we haven't heard anything on ME3 besides the teaser trailer and vague interviews....and we know we know Dr. Pepper is doing a promotion for a game that has barely even seen the light of day. I just find that hilarious.

Sucks for people like me who live in the UK, but as long as BioWare make all promo/preorder items available to everyone eventually, then I guess it's OK.
I just hate all this US exclusivity crap.

Serious bull****, I'm in the UK and I only got the Dr Pepper promotional items for ME2 because of the XBL mix up just before ME2 came out, They weren't really anything special though.

When the time comes i will help coordinate the dlc promo codes.Im so going to be on top of this and so going to try that everybody gets a dlc promo code. If we help each other out on the forum like i don't mind giving a few bucks to let my american buddies go get some pepper drinks and in return the give us the codes. Im not sure if this in the bioware rules or forum rules but im sure the see we wanna help each other out.

Alright lads when the time comes. What i will do is make a forum post ask who wants to help that lives in USA / who has the codes. or planning to go get the pepper drinks and who wants to have the codes.

Hope thats ok with the moderators

I was lucky with the last promotion. I don't like Dr.Pepper very much, but my roommate does. He is always leaving Dr.Pepper bottles lying around. All I had to do was collect the caps.
