umm...Kasumi is obsessed with a dead lover, and Zaeed is obsessed with revenge, yeah they have no issues, none whatsoever, all the while Jacob is merely reserved and dislikes when people pry into his private life.

as for racist, of all the people to compare him to - they picked Cris Brown (you know that guy who hit Rihana), and then blew Jacob's responce completely out of proportion?

I'm trying very hard not to say anything about the rest of the observations, but it does make me feel a bit better about my own angry outbursts.  compared to procyon, I'm positively mellow and loving.

Well, a dead lover is kind of bad if you consider twin souls and Zaeed got shot in the face and survived. While the others? Daddy issues, Jack I presume had a very horrible childhood but then there is many questions if she had it worse then the other children that she slaughtered at that experimental area. Ashley and Kaidan, had their issue yet was not freaking INSTABLE SICKOS. 

Clever TIM adding in a bunch of nut humans. 

And about Jacob, if you take offense at the aggression comment and you happen to look like Jacob. Aren't you, yourself then at fault for taking offense if you are not like Jacob? I simply mean that it is not racism and nothing to take offense off. No one ever talks bad about Anderson right?

This may seem hypocritic but - no, not in the least.

I've been wondering why, myself, but that's how it is: I love characters, but don't hate them. I can get annoyed with them in rare cases, though; guess it's as close to 'hate' as I can get.

... I was kinda hoping for the opposite.  I looked all over(ME Wikia, gamefaqs), but it turns out that you have to help that stupid quarian.  I hated how Shepard seems to have a quarian fetish, and you almost never get a chance to even say a harsh word to them.

Really hoping for an option to help the Geth eliminate the migrant fleet in ME3.

Also, despite my undying hatred for Tali, I made sure that she survived the suicide mission.  Far too easy a way to go for her...  anyone remember the Dark Side ending in KoTOR 1?  Tali is Mission.

Ok so here is my list.

Likes:

1. Tali: When I first saw her in ME 1 she impressed with some Tomb Raider moves, than she turned out to have a nice charakter, and she is really interested in the mission. And unlike other Charakters she was actually thankful for help. In ME2 when I saw her... I realized how happy I was (didnt read any Spoilers who is in^^), and when she run away and TIM told me its not secure to have her with me I was soo pissed. All in all, for me she turned out to be the best charakter, I love her hard sides, and her soft sides, and sometimes she is a bit crazy ^^...perfect for me.

2. Joker: With Joker by my side I am sure I can rescue the galaxy from anything. He doesnt need help with everything...like other crewmates... jeah I am looking at you crybabys. He has the same sense of humor as myself, always has something to say, rescued my life like 100 times, oh and he likes Tali. I can always trust in Joker, my bro.

3. Mordin Solus: Come on he is great, and he even can sing! Also he has really some depths, but he can be cold and logical, with Tali and Joker around we need someone like that, also he is very helpful, and always knows how to talk about some interesting facts.

4. Liara: we had a rough ride, I first liked her in ME1, but she turned out to be a bit much of a crybaby, than I was happy to see that changed in ME2, and ...she lets me down for some dumb research ! With the Shadowbroker DLC it changed again, I understand her reasons and felt a bit bad for being rude to her. She makes a great friend, and understands that I am with Tali now. I am looking forward for rescuing the galaxy with her as she new Shadowbroker on my side.

5. The Krogan which does the Lyrics for his Asari girl at Illium:  Way to go man, you jumpend over your  Krogan Shadow for what is important in your life, maybe not the best idea to make a home on Tutschanka, but in the Clan of Wrex its maybe ok, hope you are ready to fight the damn Reapers in his Army at ME3.  We will watch over your Children if you fall.

I could mention  a top 10 but.... jeah you asked for 5. Same goes for dislike, in fact I would like to have a top 20 in dislike -.-

Dislike:

1. Tim: If you want me to rescue the galaxy because your little supergirl isnt able to do it alone...than stop f...ing around with my plans all the time. Stop telling me who should be in my crew racist, also part of your doing is horrible! I remember one Admiral I really liked and... I dont believe you had no idea about Jack, and the Overlord stuff...  I will kick your.... after I finished this reaper stuff !

2. Udina: First time he talked to me I already know this little politican will screw me over countless times when I try to rescue the galacy, not because he is evil (I am looking at you Tim) just because he is a idiot. I was really happy to see how he is  Andersons little dog when I gave him a spot in the council.

3. Samara: Again ... you cant rescue the galaxy with a .... up your..... She is a grown, really old asari, and all the time I have to tell her, what needs to be done. Than she has this weird codex, which stands in the way all the time. Girl you should realise... we try to rescue the galaxy here. Thats the big goal, sometimes not everything wents the way we like it. Than she states she will kill me after the Mission is over ? Girl when the mission is over I still have to defeat the biggest evil the people of the galaxy have ever seen, and you basicly tell me you are a traitor ? Ok so I just had to help Morinth and kill you off before you can kill me. At least Morinth will do her Job.

4. The Asari Girl in Sarens Clone Base in ME1: I let you run from the little Bomb i am going to drop, and what does she do after telling me it was not her idea. She goes out, teams up with some mercenary and a crazy krogan Warlord, to do what ? jeah clone some more Krogans ! Thats what you get for being nice... more traitors. I let her run again... but this time I am sure it was a mistake.

5. Ok I cant decide who I hate most here... some people are really in  for a close race here.

5.1 Miranda: You spy on my crew... you report to Tim, you are atraitor girl, your loyality is on the wrong side and than you are asking me for help with your family stuff after all that. Ah you have so much to learn about this runs on my ship!

5.2 Turian Council Member: It is ok you didnt trust me first, but damn I rescued you when the Citadel was attacked, why the hell you still ahte on me in ME 2. That is even more harsh because I was always a good specter always loyal with the Council, never with the Alliance or Cerberus, they just where used for the good of the galaxy and the Council by me.

5.3 Specter in Shadowbroker DLC: Another Specter working with the reapers.... ok basicly with the reapers over the Broker, a way stronger one than Saren btw ^^ when it comes to fighting. You damn traitor, I am a specter, I fight for the council and for the people out there, and damn it was good to kill you off...

Only Liara and Shiala actually want to. The Consort paws on you but more to manipulate because she thinks she was horribly sexy, not because she actually wants to frak you. Morinth doesn't count because a) you intentionally behave in a way to trigger her interest  the act would involve killing you for her personal pleasure c) it lasts only as long as she does not know who you are.

Samara doesn't. Detective Anaya doesn't. The receptionist in the citadel in ME 1. Nassana Dantius. The Asari Councilor. Matriarch Benezia. And all the other Asari on Illium...

That about Morinth is not true btw... I have her in my Crew and she always trys to get on me, she sure wants it. But I dont feel like trying for ... jeah ...some reasons. At least she tells you it could kill you, and doesnt try to talk you into too hard. She is ok if you know her. Most of the time.

Also while thinking about that I just realized that Ashley also pisses me off hard for her racism and being a traitor by leaving me alone in ME 2 .... no idea why I thought about that while writing about Morinth but maybe I should include her in my list.

No, it's because he compared a slightly irate outburst from Jacob, who is black, to the violent abuse of Rihanna at the hands of a prominent black pop artist, Chris Brown.  It would have been more appropriate to select from any number of celebrities, regardless of race, who have gone on rants or verbal tirades about a topic.  If the speech in question is one where Shepard drops Jacob for, say, Garrus, then Mel Gibson would have been a more appropriate choice.  You could draw some parallels between Jacob's "cuttlebone" comment and Mel's anti-semitism.  Jacob does not ever physically threaten Shepard.  The only links he shares with Chris Brown are that he is both male and black, thereby leading me to believe that procyon is judging Jacob based on the color of his skin.

Notice how I do not call the dozens of other posters in this thread who criticize Jacob racist.

Perhaps I should have clarified my original post, highlighting the segments where I found examples of racism.

I still fail to see  the racism here. The joke is the same if you use Mel Gibson or Chris Brown, it points to the same. No to be honest it is better with Chris Brown, because he had verbal outbreaks before physical ones. So the joke is, after how he goes crazy if you drop im, femshep fears that he threaten her in a physical way next, which makes Chris Brown the better reference because everybody knows he did it.  That Jacob didnt do it, has nothing to do with the joke that hios femshep feared he could do it, and for that Chris Brown is a good symbol. Also ... to be honest, he really looks a bit like Chris Brown ^^ Also you are going to far with political correctnes if you call people racist because they use someone of the same skin colour as a reference in a Joke. So if  Jacob would be white and you use mel Gibson as  the reference should I feel call you a racist ? So only jokey with 1 white, 1 black and one asian male allowed ?

Really... you go the Joke, you didnt think its funny... that is fine... but calling other people racist just because you dislike the joke (no judgment here how bad it was I really dont care) is really not ok.  In fact your behaivor is way more insulting than his, even if it maybe wasnt perfect.
